Pros: Very quick, easy to clean, doesn't take up much room Cons: pricey pods, not all cups fit in machine
We purchased the Philips Senseo Single-Serve Coffee Machine because we saw it on sale and had wanted to try it. The set-up was quick and easy - just a quick flush of water and we were ready to brew our first cup in no time. Quick is definitely the ...
Pros: Easy, quick, one cup brewing when you don't need a pot. Cons: For a large cup you have to give up some strength or brew two pods
I drink coffee - just a cup (a large cup) but no one else does. So brewing a pot isn't necessary, and buying coffee at work is expensive. Solution - the Senseo pod coffee maker. I pop in a pod, fill the back with water, and press start. That's it! ...
Pros: Easy to use, Durable, trustworthy name Cons: Doesn't accomodate travel mugs, requires "warm up" time.
I signed up to receive this coffee maker through a marketing promotion several months ago. I’ll start with the pros: This machine is durable. I have had other single serve coffee maker that were much more “flimsy” and have broken after a few ...
Pros: Delicious tasting coffee. Cons: Expensive to use. Coffee is not hot when the maker says it is ready.
I bought this coffee maker several years ago on the recommendation of a friend. I will say you would be hard pressed to find a better tasting coffee then what this one makes. Putting the milk in the cup before you make the coffee creates a delicious ...
Buy an inexpensive espresso maker instead by michelhays ,Jan 25 '07
Pros: Coffee brewed on this machine is coffee strength, but with a frothy, espressolike finish. Cons: Machine and pods too expensive, and take up too much room
There are 3 major problems with this machine
1. It takes up a lot of counter space; the footprint of this machine is larger than my 12-cup HB Brewstation.
2. The cup size is 4 oz; half the size of a regular teacup. To get the equivalent of a Starbucks Tall coffee, you need 3 pods and have to brew at least twice (and I find it doesn't heat properly on the two-cup option)
3. The coffee packs run about $.30 apiece on sale, which makes each "Tall" size coffee about a dollar. Indulge yourself - for an extra $.40, you can have someone else make it and get condiments for free.
Good deal, but coffee pods are expensive by yay2monkeys4me ,Mar 17 '07
Pros: great taste, easy to use, fast Cons: expensive to operate
I actually received a similar gift pack from Senseo as a promotional item about two months ago. The machine itself runs well - I have had no problems operating it. It makes a wonderful cup of coffee - rich and frothy. I think the coffee pods that are necessary to go with it are a bit expensive - around $4-5 for 16 pods (makes one cup of coffee per pod). This gift pack would make a wonderful gift for a coffee lover, though. I give it 4/5 stars for ease of use, quality and taste of coffee.
