Pros: Good feel, great alignment aid, great on short putts Cons: Difficult against the collar
I am not sure that I can provide justice to the Ping G2I Craz-e putter. I can try to describe and all I am left with is "spaceship" and "like nothing you have ever seen before". I might suggest that the Two Ball Putter mated with a Taylor Made putter. ...
Pros: Extremely reliable on short putts. Cons: Not easy to control power on long putts.
The Ping guys have been working overtime for the last couple of years, and 2005 has been a "Goo2" year for Ping, indeed. The G2 irons are true and proved favorites among average players, while the S59 became the most forgiving and playable blades the ...
I was interested, very interested in this putter when I heard all the big checks Dana Quigley was cashing. However, I didn't want to fork over the $200 and some change to find out. One day however, a local pro was out on the green with one. He let me ...
Pros: Looks, price, easy to line up, good grip. Cons: Hard to get used to.
Today I putted with A Craz-E (34", black dot) from my local pro shop for about an hour. Why so long? Because this putter takes a while to get used to. You must learn to not be distracted by the awkward shape and adjust to the heavier feel. Once you get ...
Pros: Excellent balance, helps keep a smooth stroke. Nice price! Cons: I have none
It was down to the Ping and the Taylor-Made Rossa mallet putter for an anniversary present. I chose the Ping after trying out both on the putting green. My wife liked it as I did not spend the additional 40 bucks. However, I have never putted better!! I have small hands and would not consider myself a strong person. The design really helps keep a smooth stroke. I have holed several 20 foot plus putts to improve my scoring. Short putts are much easier with the balance the putter has. You gotta love the technology!! Excellent choice and I highly recommend!! I paid $125 in case anyone is wondering. Well spent!!
Great Putter with Great Feel! by golfergirl ,Jun 09 '06
Pros: GREAT FEEL, GREAT ACCURACY, GREAT PUTTER!!! Cons: none
This putter is just like other PING putters- it works wonderfully! If you've ever tried a PING, you know how accurate they are and how you can feel the ball. Putters that feel soft are not good for me because I cannot feel the ball. This putter is highly recommended by me!!
Hole everything inside 3 feet by vincemcg ,Aug 30 '06
Pros: Makes the short putts easy with the excellent alignment aid. Cons: Heavy head, soft insert on the face - confusing. Need to hit it
The Ping G2i Craze Putter has been in my bag now for over a year. The biggest benefit from this putter is that it makes the 3 foot putts so easy to line up. The hardest thing is that in spite of having a heavy feel to the head you still require to give it a good solid stroke. It is so easy to be taken in by the heavy head and leave putts short.
My putter is the 34 inch traditional while my friend has the centre shafted model which to be honest I didn't fancy the look of but having had a few shots I now don't know which of the two I prefer.
The Ping tacky grip rounds off for me a really helpful club which produces good results not quite reaching the pinnacle of greatness.
As with all Ping clubs well engineered and excellent assembly.
Pros: easy alignment, good weight, good price $145-$160, improve game Cons: can be distracting to eye at first
This is another good product for Ping. It is easy to follow your line with the great alignment this putter offers. It has good weight that promotes excellent roll with minimum skidding at first contact. This club is easy to hit and can drastically improve your short game and take a few strokes off your score, intern improving your game.It is comparably priced with other quality putters. I got it at my golf club for $145 and I have seen it other places for around $150.It is cheaper than Scotty Cameron,Odyssey 2-ball, and Taylor Made Rossa (3 similar products).
It is an interesting looking club. Most stores have it in the tradictional Ping blue but you can order it in a variety of colors to personalize it. I thougght this was a very cool feature from Ping. The colors range from the blue to yellow, orange, red, and green.
The only complaint I had when I first bought it was the back of the club. It takes a little getting used to seeing a strange looking shape while your putting, but in a short while it didn't distact me anymore.I now love this putter.
