O.K. Folks, looks like Ping finally jumped on the composite driver bandwagon. It is a rather fine effort too! Ping is finally doing for the Driver industry what the Japanese did for the auto industry. They are taking several technologies that have been ...

Pros: Sounds like a normal driver, not hollow or dull Cons: Have to really work to shape the ball flight
Still riding the wave of their most popular driver ever, Ping has decided to move into the world of composite drivers. Having been impressed with the Ping G2 and G5 drivers, I decided to test the Rapture and see if they had come up with an answer to ...
Pros: Hits the Ball a Long Way Cons: Really Didn't Like The Feel, and Was Very Hard to Control
It's pretty hard not to like Ping's products year after year, as they more often than not are excellent performing clubs at a decent price. That was certainly the case with Ping's G5 driver, which produced great results, a great sound, and was one of the ...
Pros: VERY Consistent, VERY Long, Very Forgiving Cons: None, This club is very very nice. Well worth the Money.
This driver is awesome. 300 yard drives are easily attainable with this driver. It is so solid sounding that when you hit it square, it sounds like a gunshot. My longest drive with this was 370 yards. I can hit it a consistent 290 - 320 without much ...
Pros: Great feel and sound. Consistant drive and ball flight. Good distance Cons: May want to replace Ping grips.
I recently purchased a 12 degree Rapture driver with a regular flex TFC 909 D shaft. This is a very good driver, easy to swing. My ball flight is fairly predictable. I have a slight fade and tend to adjust for that at address. This club delivers a ...
I had been trading off between Taylor Made's R580 and R7 and Callaway's Hawkeye for years. I have never been fully satisfied with any of these. I had talked to several pro's/golf shop owners who, although they can get most drivers at a discount(or for free), paid full price for the Rapture. I bought one for myself this past weekend and was amazed at the distance and control. I normally drive 270-280 with my Taylor Made's and I was easily sitting at 300 with the Rapture. Driver + 6-iron on a par 5 is the way to go. It sounds great as well. If you are going to invest $400+ in a driver, this is where you should start.
