Pros: Distance, Feel (for a two piece), Workability, Putting, Price Cons: Can't think of one.
Back to the great two piece search, as the shaggy courses I shoot get ever shaggier and their greens get ever harder during the winter months. The now famous Emu Ranch (Pecan Trails), and recent literally converted cow pasture course w/serious dog legs ...

Pros: Yes, it got distance, but also high ball flight and good bite on greens. Cons: No glamour effect, too high flying for some tastes.
Pinnacle´s have a reputation of going long, and the Exception is...no exception to this fact. Most golfers want DISTANCE more than enything, but since the "soft ball" craze began a few years back, certain brands with a "hard" reputation began to look for ...

Better than expected
by nokindadancer ,Apr 07 '05
Pros: price, distance, almost soft Cons: not the touch most people are looking for
Like most I don't expect much other than distance from Pinnacle. I arrived at the country club realizing I didn't pick up any balls from the garage before I left my house. (I had cleaned out my golf bag the week before) I ask the guy in the pro shop if there were any new balls that weren't crazily over priced. He recommended these. The distance is not Pro V1 neither is the bite, but for a bargain ball it's pretty darn good. If you are like me and don't always hit is straight and sometimes put your ball in the road or in the water you should give these a try. Not as soft as Precept Laddie.

10 Handicap Golfer
by dbombard ,Nov 21 '04
Pros: Soft feel, good distance, feels good off the putter, and good pricing. Cons: Higher ball flight than most soft balls.
Next best thing to the MC Lady, which is no longer being made by Precept. The Exception Ball has a higher ball flight than most balls, however most golfers will be able to work with it. For the golfers that cannot work with a higher ball flight, I would recommend the Maxfli A3. Both balls have a soft feel and a good distance. The Exception ball is allot better than most other balls claiming to be soft and long. The ball is better than the NXT's, Noodle, and the LOCO. If you like spending $40.00 for a dz. balls, you can find a ball that will suffice, but if you spend between $19.00 - $21.00 a dz., the Exception ball is an all around good ball for any handicap golfer.

Best Value Ball On the Market
by tonyweis ,Feb 26 '05
Pros: Seriously long and great value for money. Cons: May not perform as well if you have a slow swing.
The Pinnacle Exception was a real surprise. Like most golfers I know when you here the name Pinnacle you think of a ball that feels like a brick. Well this Pinnacle is the "Exception". It is seriously long but feels like a ball twice it's price. It stops when you want it to and putts as good as anything on the hard fast greens that we have in Australia. Great value for money golf ball.

Here's one for us older guys
by dickc4795 ,Sep 16 '07
Pros: Distance for the higher handicap golfer. Cons: List $17.99 a dozen, but I have gotten them from 12.99 to 14.99 on sale.
I'm 69 and shoot in the low to mid 90's. Used to get an occasional eagle but haven't had one in about 6 years. This past May 07, I found a new Pinnacle Exception in the weeds and started to use it. On the next par 5, I hit a drive (later measured with my GPS) at 300 yards. I normally hit about 220. I had 165 yards left to the pin, again measured with the GPS. My 165 yd. club is a 9 wood and I stuck that Exception ball about 18 inches from the pin. I agonized over that putt. I have used nothing but Pinnacle Exceptions since then. The putt? Of course I sunk it. I still have the card signed by my 3 buddies to prove it.

good value
by spikemark ,Jul 21 '05
Pros: Soft feel, great distance, good value. Cons: Hard to see any.
Yes, this ball tends to fly higher than other "soft" distance balls; but it goes a long way, too, and what's wrong with a bit of "longage", especially at these prices? These babies come off my trusty 845's so sweet; great ball at a great price.
