But, don't expect earth shattering sound effects from this model sub woofer.

This unit was an excellent value as you get a full 5.1 surround sound with a DVD player and some features such an optical sound port. The drawback with this system is that there is no connections for upgrading the subwoofer components you would have to buy a new tuner which can be pricey. I do like it and will be keeping it.
