Pioneer sees this as a novelty item, for it’s roughly half the normal height of DVD players. Standing roughly 5½ cm tall, it has a low centre of gravity, and so better performance. Not true.

I purchased this DVD player approximately two years ago and I was very impressed with the sound and picture that came from it. The fact that it is small and slim was a boon to arranging my gear under my TV rack. I own a 40 inch Sony HD set and the DVD was attached to it and my Yamaha reciever with composite and optical connections.

What I found though is that this player does not play all DVD's. I found this out when I bought Bollywood DVD's from Bombay, Bangkok, and NYC. I now have switched to Sony. Good DVD player though if it wasn't for the format issues. DVI connection should be added as well for the price that I paid for this player.
