Pros: Seperate media receiver, sharp colors and blacks, packed with features Cons: Volume and channel are "backwards" on the remote.
I researched TV's for quite a while before deciding on the Pioneer. I am not disappointed! The whole thing arrived nicely packed in separate boxes, the screen, speakers, stand and receiver all inside a large carton. It took about 40 minutes to ...

Pros: Excellent Picture, fast refresh rate, pixel wave, removal/relocated speakers, Smart Box, comes with wall mount Cons: The price is a little high, but the quality is must better than the rest.
First of all, let me say I have worked at Best Buy in the Home Theater Department for over a year, so this is not a biased review from a reviewer blowing his own horn about a product he purchased.... Pioneer is one of the leaders in the Plasma industry, ...

Pros: Separate Media Receiver simplifies connectivity and reduce power consumption in display
Cons: User Manual
Cost is a premium over competitive units
See the Feb '06 review from DavidCJohnson. He covered this unit very well and my experience is exactly the same. I will add just a few more comments here as an appendage to his well-formed thoughts. I bought my unit from BestBuy. They carry this ...

Best Plasma for smaller room
by gman4277 ,Dec 13 '06
Pros: Great connectivity, fantastic picture, decent sound with side mounted speakers. Cons: Finicky with Over the air reception of the sound!!
I looked at many Flat Panel TVs; LCDs and Plasmas back in March 2006 and choose this over the Sony. I have gone back to my dealer a few times and still this model blows almost all the competition away until you go to $5000. All friens who have viewed my Pioneer are stunned at the picture! It has smaller footprint, perfect for smaller viewing (ie 10')room! Also, a perfect HD picture with Over the Air Reception so you do not need cable!

Best Plasma Out there now
by elvisahmed ,Apr 12 '06
Pros: Separate Tuner Module
2 HDMI
Pioneer! Cons: No Speaker and Stand in Canada (USA has both)
Bit expensive compared to others.
Well I have been enjoying this amazing unit for 3 months now and I must say I can't get enough of it. I was torn between the Panasonic 50U series or Pioneer if I wanted to go high end (Pioneer Elite is higher end but I think its mainly for the real Videophiles but peronally I couldn't tell the difference in Picture myself and i consider myself a HT buff) or the Samsung HPR if I went on a budget. I dropped the idea of Samsung after comparing em side by side. So it was down to Panny and Pio well I compared the features and in my opinion Pio was better suited fo my future need as it had 2 of the all important HDMI inputs (now the panasonic has two aas well) and the Color decoding which is second to none. The blacks are still better on panny but Pio is no Slouch. All in all a great unit buy it and you won't be disappointed.
