Pros: Lightweight, easy to operate, reasonably comfortable, long battery life. Cons: Occasional crackle. Filter makes noise like faucets or rustling plastic bags into unpleasant sound.
The Plantronics Explorer 220, a Bluetooth hands-free headset for mobile phones, was at $19.95 the cheapest on the market a year ago when I purchased mine, and is still one of the least expensive on the market. These days it is the most ...
Pros: Simple to use, secure attachment, good sound quality, good battery life, very good value Cons: Sometimes uncomfortable to wear for more than a few hours.
I bought this a month ago (7/09) from Costco for $20. Hawaii had recently passed a law limiting use of electronic gadgets while driving, except for headsets. I always try to limit my use of cell phones while driving but sometimes it is so much simpler to ...
Pros: Small, light weight. Lower price. Cons: Ear piece may not fit smaller ears.
Bought the PLANTRONICS 220 WIRELESS HEADSET for my better half. She has a CHOCOLATE phone with bluetooth capability. I didn't really know what to look for in a wireless headset. They are all pretty small. Most use some sort of tiny ni-cad type ...
Pros: Rechargable, affordable $27 approx., lightweight, comfortable Cons: occassional "wistles" & "pops" (usually a volume or fit issue)
This is my first experience using Bluetooth technology, mainly because the price of the headset in combination with the products i.e. phones that use them did not offer enough value for me to spend the money....til now! I recently purchased a ...
Pros: Inexpensive, simple setup, sounds good, good battery life Cons: Picks up wind when talking, sometimes forget to take it off my ear.
My first bluetooth headset only cost me $15, as it was on sale the day after Thanksgiving. It lasted me until the end of February. That is $5 a month on average. I don't feel ripped off, although it should have lasted me longer. I decided to wait ...
Pros: Reasonable price, good comfort, easy to set up and handsome looking. Cons: Some people that call me are complaining of an echo and hearing themselves talk.
I have said it before that I tend to buy the cheapest thing in a category then get ripped off. Well, with my first blue tooth I did the same thing and bought a 20 dollar piece of junk. After that little experiment and throwing the cheap headset into the ...
Pros: Comparatively inexpensive, comfortable, light. Cons: Very poor range, terrible audio quality (both transmitting and receiving).
I purchased the Plantronics Explorer 220 headset from Staples to use with an iPhone 3GS. The headset now sits unused on a shelf due to the poor audio quality, both transmitting and receiving, that I experienced with it. The audio quality on my side was universally poor, regardless of the caller, and laden with pops/static. The transmitting audio is apparently very poor too, as several callers have stated that I was difficult to understand and asked if I was using a headset. I also tried and returned a Plantronics Voyager 520, it had a better microphone, but the earpiece quality was just as bad. I also found the range of both headsets to be exceptionally poor - less than 5 feet, and only with line-of-sight. I've since replaced the headset with a SoundID 200 and found the performance of that headset to be better in every way.
Pros: charges fast and compact Cons: call quality is poor and turns itself on.
i bought this blue tooth from a verizon store about two months ago and i REGRET IT!! the call quality is poor to where the other party cant hear you and its hard to hearthem. but it never fall off yours ears like other flimsy bluetooth sometimes do. also when i turn it off while at work it turns itself on by itself which took away some of the charge-life. it charges fairly quickly which is a good thing for a person that doesnt like to charge at night.i previously had a motorola and it was excellent except when walking in the wind. this one, you can be in your house and it sounds like your walking in the wind.i would not recommend it to anyone whos looking for a good/primary bluetooth but if you are looking for something cheap its a good thing.
