Pros: Stylish, Comfortable, High Quality Cons: None!
Not only is it the law where I live that I use a hands-free device to talk on my phone while driving, it is also common sense. I drive a manual car, which means that between steering and shifting, I really don't have a third hand to hold my cellphone. I ...
Pros: Great battery life (up to 7 hours talk time), good volume. Cons: A LOT of static, picks up background noise.
I bought the Plantronics Voyager 520 because Plantronics makes quality telephone headset equipment in offices nationwide. Most high volume call centers use Plantronics equipment, so I figured I would try their Blue Tooth product.Frankly, I'm ...
Pros: Noise canceling, advertises compatibility with lots of phones, comfortable to wear. Cons: Should have separate volume buttons
I've had this for about two days now. I lost my other plantronics headset (didn't make me happy I think someone took it out of my purse) and this is my second purchase from this company. I've had a lot of experience with plantronics products where I ...
Pros: Long battery
Good comfort
Solid sound quality Cons: Single rocker button for everything is difficult to control the volume
After tossing between Jawbone and plantronics, I decided to go with Plantronics. Using this bluetooth adapter for 3 months, it came down to four things. 1. Comfort (can you wear it all day long) 2. Sound quality (hearing what people say, as well as ...
Pros: Sound quality fine despite other deficiencies. Small; not too ugly.
Cons: The wind screen doesn't screen. The noise canceling cancels my voice. No range.
After reading reviews of the Voyager 510, I went to Fry's to buy it, only to come home with the 520 for $5 more because it's not so bulky, and it advertises a revolutionary wind screen in the microphone. Since I drive a convertible, I had some hopes ...
Pros: Long Battery life, distinct power on-off chime, nice design, snug fit over ear. Cons: Sound is too low coming through earpiece. Five-second delay before it connects with phone.
I bought this headset on April 4, 2008 when I went to a local Verizon store to buy a Plantronics 330 for my wife (I already have for myself). Californias mandatory hands free driving law goes into effect in July 2008, so I thought that my wife ...
Pros: Decent voice quality (as long as there's no wind). Long battery life. Convenient charging station. Cons: Multipoint feature doesn't work well. Too bulky. Poor range (requires line of sight).
One of main reasons I chose this one was because its ability to connect to two phones concurrently. I carry a personal and a business phone, so it's a useful feature to have. However, the headset has trouble staying paired with both phones even when both phones are in standby (no calls). It gets worse if I'm talking on one phone. It drops connection with the other phone every minute or so and then immediately re-pairs, sounding a beep every time, which is extremely annoying when I'm trying to have a conversation on the other phone. If I leave the house with only one of the two phones, sometimes the headset refuses to pair with it altogether, as if it is searching for the other phone. Very irratating when you are trying to quickly answer an incoming call.
Also, the headset is rather bulky and rubs against my jacket collar when I turn my head, sometimes pushing it out of my ear.
Voice quality is good as long as there's no breeze. Battery life is very long; never ran out of battery on me, and I only charge it once or twice a week. The charging station is convenient.
Pros: Comfort. Held a charge for a long time. Incoming sound was great. Cons: Outgoing sound quality, lost signal to my phone several times.
If you're going to be using this headset around the house or office, you're fine. If you're going to be using it in your car or other environments where you might get background noise, think again. This might not be the headset for you if you care what your voice quality is for the other end. I thought this headset was comfortable and the sound quality of the person you are talking with is great but I received several complaints about my sound quality to the person whom I was talking. I have a newer nice car with minimal road noise but it didn't seem to matter. This headset often lost connection with my phone several times. Not sure what the problem was there.
Pros: People on the other end of the phone said they could hear me just fine. Cons: There was too much static on my end and not loud enough.
I tried this model (the Voyager) twice, thinking that the first one was just a bad one(too much static)... but I was disappointed to find that the second one I picked up was just as staticky. I also didn't feel that I could turn up the volume loud enough when I was in a noisy environment. It was my first bluetooth so I wasn't sure what to expect but after going to a completely different brand, I am very happy with my new bluetooth. My new one is more comfortable and very clear. I would not purchase the Voyager. Maybe another model from Plantronics would be fine but I didn't want to try it.
Enjoy a full 8 hours of talk time with this wireless headset that features a single easy-to-use button and a sleek, lightweight design.More at Best Buy ®
