Playskool Makes Diapers? Well, they Shouldn't!

by mmcphee Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Oct 30 '06
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: You get what you pay for
When you think of Playskool you probably think of toys, perhaps even their parent company, Hasbro. You probably do not think of diapers. And yet here I am reviewing Playskool Rompers Diapers. The Basics As far as I can tell Playskool ...

Worst diapers we've used

by realmofdreams , Jun 26 '07
Pros: Cheap
Cons: They don't stay on
The Velcro closures do not stay closed. So many times we have seen our daughter walking towards us as her diaper falls around her ankles. Entertaining? YES! Helpful? NO! She often wakes up with crap all over her pajamas because the diapers have ...

Doesn't match up to the Playskool quality

by keishabbwnj , Mar 10 '07
Pros: cheap price
Cons: leaks, tabs don't always stick, elastic comes out of diaper around thighs.
I had seen these diapers advertised in the CVS circular for about 3 weeks for 10.99 for a mega pack. One day i found myself in CVS and the sale was still going on. i said sure, why not give them a try. i bought them, and used them the same day. that ...

Wonderful
by rooroomom ,Feb 05 '07
Pros: Cheaper than Pampers and Huggies. Cute Weebles designs.
Cons: Don't fasten as well as Pampers but does the job.
Not Pampers Baby Dry but still good diapers. I use them during the day and Pampers Baby Dry at night. I like the way they fit.

Playschool Rompers Diapers - Size 4
by leocleo ,Feb 16 '07
Pros: Reasonably priced.
Cons: Do not hold as much as other diapers. Tabs seem to not stick easily.
We purchased these from a drugstore as they seemed to be a great price for 52 diapers. Needless to say they did not absorb as much as other diapers we have used and would start falling off our daughter. For some reason the tabs do not want to stay fastened on her waist and after trying to adjust and fix them, well they wouldn't stay on then. We also noticed that she would put her hand in the back around the waist and we wondered if they were itchy or bothering her but we assumed it was a phase she was going through. Now after reading a review on these, I wondered if she had some kind of reaction to the waist. Anyway we gave them a try but will not be purchasing them again.

With Playskool name, I thought they would be a quality product
by slgm ,Jan 23 '07
Pros: none
Cons: wont stay fastened, tabs not strong/flexible enough, roll down at waist, fall off baby's behind
They were on sale at CVS, so I decided to try them. The regular price was the same as Pampers and Huggies so I thought they would be of the same quality, but they are NOT. I will never buy this brand again. (I have used the CVS store brand and they are much better than the Playskool brand, and cheaper). These diapers do not stay fastened, they fold up underneath his belly, (he is not a big baby either, 1o months old and 16 1/2 pounds,) and fall way down around his behind. The velcro tabs are not strong enough or flexible enough to keep the diaper secure. As a matter of fact, just now, my baby was crying in the playpen, I went to check on him and his diaper was completely off. I plan to let Playskool know how displeased I am with this product.

Playskool Rompers Size 4s
by pixiedreams8i8 ,Aug 04 '07
Pros: Great design, perfect fit, absolutely no leaks, unbeatable price
Cons: I can't think of any! Maybe a more unisex design would be nice.
In a pinch, and in part due to a sale, my husband and I purchased Playskool Rompers size 4s for our 16 month old daughter. We were a little hesitant because of the reviews we had read online and from being big fans of Huggies Supremes. But I must admit this diaper lived up to it's namesake. Playskool venturing into baby products, including diapers, was a smart move in my opinion. I would recommend these diapers to anyone with a toddler. They fit like a glove. I don't understand the reviews stating that they don't fit well and are too baggy. These diapers have a perfect design and fit our daughter better than any other leading brand we have tried over the past 16 months. It's a big bonus to get 18 more diapers for the same price we usually pay for a mere 34. We even put them to the bedtime test, and she slept soundly with no leaks for 12 hours. I'm thoroughly impressed! We'll definitely buy these again...

Playskool should stick to toys
by jae31670 ,Jan 21 '07
Pros: The price
Cons: The lavender color for boys/unisex, the size is not accurate..they run small
I bought these Playskool diapers last night at CVS because I trust the name Playskool when it comes to childrens toys so why not and the price was actually a value too...13.99 for 40 diapers. Well as long as I want my son running around in purple designed diapers i dont think they would be that bad. Although the size six is not as big as compared to other diapers of that size. The first diaper I put on my son started pulling itself off at the sides ...and the second one made it through the night except for in the morning it was a loose as anything. My son is using a third one now but he keeps pulling at it and it seems uncomfortable.
So I guess the price is about the only thing good about the product but if u weigh in the other problems it is not worth buying this brand.

Playskool should stick to toys!
by arunquist ,Dec 08 '07
Pros: These diapers cost a few dollars less than major name brand diapers.
Cons: They do not stay on!
I recently purchased a pack of these diapers when I was in CVS. I'd never heard of them. I thought since Playskool makes great toys their diapers would be great too. I was wrong. These diapers do not stay on my son. Every single one of these diapers that we put on him has fallen off! Yeah, I bought them at a low price but I could have bought a no-name generic diaper and it'd be of better quality. I am very disappointed in these diapers. I'll stick to Luvs from now on!4

The "WobbleRoom tabs" do not "flex to let baby move comfortably" they just come undone.
I don't even know if these are absorbent/if they keep my baby dry because they never stay on long enough to find out. The first night that I purchased these he wore one to bed. The next morning half of the diaper was hanging off of him and he had urinated all over his sheets. At first I thought that he might have undid one side of the diaper himself. But watching the diapers fall off that day proved that theory wrong. The velcro tabs do not stick.
