Pros: Fast performance, DVD authoring abilities, OS 9 bootable, reliable performance, connectivity, case design
Cons: Apple customer support, hard drive interface, restore CDs, exceedingly loud, front speaker, no audio in

Summary: I am an on, then off, then on again Mac user. For a couple years, I took a hiatus from the Macintosh platform and focused on using the Windows platform. I don’t know why I did this. The Quicksilver is my 3rd Mac that I have owned, and certainly the ... read more

    Pros: Stylish, fast, easy upgrades
Cons: Sloppy keyboard, noisy fan, noisy cd tray

Summary: I'm not biased towards Apple. I left the Mac scene when OS 8 was released. It crashed too often. OS 9 seemed to be just a cosmetic upgrade. But when Apple released MacOSX and had a couple of nice looking desktops and laptops in the ... read more

Cons: uh…the built in speaker sucks

Summary: I have had the Powermac G4 733, for a while now and I can safely write a fair review on it. My PowerMac G4 is pre-quicksilver. I have also upgraded this machine. This machine has 1024 megs of RAM, 120 gigs HD space, Built in zip drive, and of course the ... read more

Pros: powerful, stylish, expandable, quiet fan, easy to set up
Cons: processor not upgradable, new iMac G4 may be a better deal for some

Summary: Judging by Apples minor updates to this model over the past few years, they have it down almost to perfection. I have seen speed bumps and changes in the optical drive, but basically this is the same unit. The CD/DVD writer 'superdrive' is definately a ... read more

Pros: It's apple. Quality control is amazing. Use it right out of the box.
    Cons: Price.

Summary: I have used just about every operating system and hardware configuration on the planet. I hear the same negative things about this mac, which I would like to de-bunk. 1) Macs have no software - NOT true. What do you use? Microsoft Office? ... read more

Cons: Bad nVidia video card, timing issues with 3rd party RAM

Summary: Just got a new G4 "Quicksilver" power Mac at work last week. Mac OS 9.2 was installed, as was OS X, on a 40GB 5400-RPM IBM drive. The Good: It's fast. Lots of hard drive space (for me, anyway). Tower case is very classy, cleaner than previous ... read more
