Pros: Easy to swallow caplets, safety cap, treats some of the major premenstrual symptoms. Cons: Expensive, possibility of stomach upset.
Preface: This review contains some rather graphic language, if you are sensitive to sanguine subjects, I suggest you skip this review There are things that women never forget; your first kiss, learning how to bake cookies, training bras ...
Pros: Helps control backaches, irritability, and bloating. Cons: Causes drowsiness.
PMS = Proof Mom Sucks! Not really! But if you ask my family that's what they're liable to say. Like most women I suffer PMS. Unlike most women I suffer terribly. In fact any living thing within 100 ft. of me suffers! Sometimes it's so bad, I don't even...
Pros: inexpensive, works on many symptoms Cons: you have to keep taking it every few hours
I have always had bad pms symptoms, ever since I was 12 or so.
I used to suffer through the pain for one week each month. I
thought it was my womanly duty to endure this torture. I
would take Tylenol or some aspirin, but nothing helped,...
Pros: A "Cure" for PMS symptoms Cons: absolutely none
"I don't know where to find a box of cereal in the store, but I know right where the PMS medicines are!" This was a hilarious phrase uttered by the husband of one of my friends. She and I like many, many women suffer from PMS or...
Pros: It actually does work! Cons: Could cost a little less, but worth the price regardless!
Premsyn PMS has to be one of the top ten over the counter medications that every female should keep in their medicine cabinet. If you are the female of the house who is fortunate enough to witness the dreaded time of the month each month then you may...
Pros: They Really Do Work Cons: None That I Can Think Of
I use to get terrible cramps and PMS, the kind where you double up in a ball from excruciating pain . I really hate to admit this but I would also get the worse PMS that you can imagine. The kind where they use to put women into mental institutions...
Pros: fast relief - more effective than other available brands Cons: slightly more expensive than competing brands
I have never before suffered from serious PMS. Sure, I always get cramps, that unbelievable need for chocolate, and headaches; but aspirin usually provided some relief. PMS was never something that bothered me much, and it never lasted more than a day...
Pros: initailly helped relieve PMS symptoms Cons: knocked me out after the second half dose, made me pee like a racehorse
Not again - Auntie Flo has come to town and once again she has made me cranky, bloated and irritable. Actually Auntie Flo isn't the real problem, she's a rather quiet houseguest, here for about three days and gone without being asked to leave.
Pros: Inexpensive, effective relief Cons: recommend only for nighttime use, because of the drowsiness factor
I'll begin this review by being utterly frank and upfront with you:
I currently am about to have my period. I have been on the Pill for months and this will be my first month without any hormones in my system.
If my PMS this month is any...
Pros: relieves symptoms, saves from embarrassment Cons: slightly expensive
Ok before I begin this review I know that many of my regular loyal readers are male...you may want to skip this one...unless, of course, you have a particularly grouchy wife or girl friend...or sister even. Normally I only review books and movies and...
Pros: Actually does what it says it will do. Cons: None
A few years ago I was having horrible cramps and discomfort before and during every period. I tried finding relief with regular ibuprofen and the likes but could not manage to achieve the relief that I so desperately sought after.
Pros: Got rid of all my symptoms Cons: it's a little expensive for 16 tablets
I purchased this product because i was having the that time of the month blues. You know, headaches, cramps, irritability, and all that other fun stuff. It's not fun to experience these things, or be around someone experiencing them!!
Pros: Gives you back control Cons: Only lasts 4 - 6 hours
I do not usually write reviews but Premsyn PMS is such an important part of my life I'm making this one exception. I suffer from PMS every month. All of the different pains are bad, but do you know what the worst thing is for me? My mood. Sometimes ...
Pros: relieves even the worst cramps, bloating and PMS moods Cons: none
Not only do I suffer from severe cramps, but I also change from a super nice person to a major sea hag once a month. When a friend first recommended this medication, I figured, yeah right, this is going to help my mood. Even antidepressants and...
I used to get the worst cramps before and during my period. Feelings of just general YUCK used to keep me home from dates and time with my friends. I got a trial packet of Premsyn in the mail and I decided not to even bother with it because things like...
Pros: takes away all PMS symptoms Cons: a little expensive
I have the worst PMS and menstrual cramps. I have used Midol and pamprin. Both did help some but never really took all the pain and symptoms away. I tried Premsyn PMS and it is the best. It really relieved all my PMS symptoms. It made the cramping,...
The only cure for my painful cramping ! by debrakr ,Jun 12 '04
Pros: This pain killer for pms actually works. It does what it states on the label. Cons: It makes me sleepy if I take it when I am tired.
I was recently diagnosed with fibroid tumors. The only thing I have found for the horrible cramps and heavy bleeding I am suffering from has been Premsyn. My doctor put me on Aleve and it made me so irritable that I had to stop taking it.I tried Premysn because I had tried the rest and they failed to work. I am glad that it is there for me now.Otherwise I am confined to bedrest and prescription pain killers. Which I can live without.
Pros: This product takes the irratability and crams away! Cons: I could not locate this product easily.
I went to 6 stores to find Premysn PMS and of course this was making me crazier than I was already feeling. Once I found it and took it I have to tell you I almost forgot the feelings I had been having. This product is great and none of the others (Pamprin or Midol) help me the way that Premsyn does. To bad it took forever to find.
Pros: I forgot about the cramping and felt fine. I had no headaches or back pains. Cons: I was to drowsy to drive home. Falling asleep on the way.
I have bad cramps so my boyfriend went to the store to find
me something. He ran across Premsyn. I looked up this web site before and it had mixed reviews so I thought I would
try. I like it, as far as if your staying home.
This product made me Very Sleepy and I was unable to drive
home safely. If my daughter was not in the car waking me
up I would have been in bad shape. There is a warning on the bottle but I read it too late......
The best thing since sliced bread! by themadreviewer ,May 09 '07
Pros: Works better than anything else I've tried with no NSAIDS or caffeine. Cons: Not always easy to find but well worth looking for since it works!
I've been using this stuff for years now, it works really well to get rid of my cramps, aches, general b! @#!ness before my period and the killer cramps I get after I start. It can cause some minor drowsiness but it's worth it. This gets rid of my pain and bloat and makes my life (and me!) bearable again. In fact, my 12 year old son has been known to just go fetch the bottle without being asked, LOL.
You have other options for PMS treatment by webpinion ,Dec 01 '06
Pros: One of many solutions to a common problem Cons: Daily supplements work even better and are cheaper
I took all sorts of PMS treatments over many years. What worked the best for me (discovered by accident, of course) was a combination of treatments. Taking calcium supplements daily (the chewable chocolate kind), along with B-Complex vitamins. I also took an Aleve pill before I anticipated cramps starting (works better if you catch them before they kick in), and took one every 12 hours for 2-3 days. (I can't take ibuprophen because I get rebound headaches from it.) If you have chest tenderness/pain, cutting out soda & caffeine and drinking water instead is helpful. If you get headaches, too, try taking 1 magnesium tablet daily. I recently read an article about how calcium really can improve cramps, which was amazing to me, because it worked.
Pros: removes moodiness & bloating Cons: Hard to find in stores.
This product has been a life saver for me for mood swings and bloating. I've tried other products on the market and they just don't help me. I introduced my daughter to the product and she claims it has worked wonderfully for her too. Only problem is finding a store that carries it.
I have been using this product for 25 years. It's the Best! by c_gentzyel ,May 16 '09
Pros: It does it all! Cons: Hard to find in my area, so I have to buy them on the internet.
I have been using the product since I was 13. I would get cramps so bad I used a heating pad. I never had gym class, I would cry excessively. The bloat, I would gain 5-7 lbs of fluid during that time. Moody, oh my lord that doesn't even describe what I was that time of the month. My mom found these miracle pills. Unfortunately they are very hard to find in my area, so over the years I have tried them all, but the only thing that has ever worked are The Premysn PMS. I even use them when I am stressed out and my head is what I call running and I can't sleep. They seem to soothe my nerves and my head quiets down so I can sleep. They are by far the best product for PMS that I have ever tried. I was even prescribed PMDD medications, which made me tired and they didn't seem to control my moods at all. They actually made me feel worse. I recommend this product to everyone that suffers from PMS.
