My Lifeline

by daisylvzim , Apr 26 '06
Pros: Excellent phone. Wonderful features
Cons: Letters on keyboard are tearing off.
I don't have too many complaints about this phone. It is capable of pretty much anything I need it for. It is my one MAJOR social link. I live in Phoenix and the T-Mobile coverage here is *fair* (today was a windy day and I had crap reception in places ...

Great PDA ... Bad Phone.

by amiz , Nov 04 '05
Pros: Screen, Apps, Ease of Use
Cons: The Phone! No Bluetooth. "Camera"
The Sidekick II was my first venture into the PDA-like cellular phone market. I was looking for a device that I could use as a cellular phone, and had calendar/ to-do list, text messaging, camera and gaming capabilities. It was to be my mobile ...

Great Blackberry alternative

by Weave , Oct 13 '05
Pros: Intuitive, fantastic ergonomics, strong email support, good speakerphone, good browser, easy to read display.
Cons: No Bluetooth, occasional email spam, marginal camera, potentially fragile, very few games available.
Having had a number of PDAs, PIM-capable phones, T-Mobile's Pocket PC phone and after buying and trying a Blackberry 7290, I returned the Blackberry to get the Sidekick II. I was looking for a replacement for my Motorola that had a full QWERTY ...

The Best Nokia Made

by ceciliac2 , Jul 21 '02
Pros: Sturdy, good-looking, easy to use, helpful features
Cons: None, other than they are no longer manufactured or sold by Nokia
I have owned the Nokia 6160 for almost three years now. I lost my previous Nokia about 3 months ago, and never even considered another model. 6 months ago, I visited an AT&T store, and the clerk even told me that there is not better Nokia made.

I had to be different

by wendie7 , Jan 05 '02
Pros: nice games, right size, decent battery life, different from the 5160
Cons: heats up horribly, faceplates nearly impossible to change, randomly doesn't ring
Cell phones became the "big thing" about two years ago. After swearing it wouldn't happen to me, I bought the Nokia 6120 February of 2001. To this day, I still can't decide if I love it or hate it.

To be honest, one of the big reasons that I...

Nokia 6120 -- lotsa toys, but a bad phone

by kurt_g , Jan 05 '02
Pros: It's got games, a calendar, and a 199-number memory.
Cons: Earpiece heats up
I had a Nokia 6120 for two years when I was with Cellular One. Nokia has a good reputation, and the 6100 series was a very popular phone.

This phone was a classic case of forgetting the basics. The 6120 was obviously planned out...

if you want to block Canadian towers, this is great

by debangor , Jan 04 '02
Pros: blocks roaming charges, nice looking, sturdy antenna
Cons: low battery life, not very loud
I have used the Nokia 6120 for about 4 months now. The first two phones I had were a Motorola bag phone and a Motorola star-tac (both analog). I switched from the Nokia 5160 after constantly picking up roaming charges from Canada. I live about 30...

The only phone I need....

by twilling , Nov 02 '01
Pros: Well Balanced phone
Cons: Unable to synchronize with palm devices, doesn't work well on ships and boats, style
The 6160 is a very nice mobile phone. It has a ton of features that will allow minimum brain power needed to remember phone numbers. Just program them in and presto!!!

A feature that I would like to see on this phone would be the ability to...

Good phone for a good price.

by bapow1 , Jul 05 '01
Pros: Good clarity, ease of use, and nicely designed.
Cons: Poor battery life (nickel metal), fragile antenna, AND A BAD SCREEN.
The 6120 was my first cell phone. I had it for over a year and I replaced it with a 8260 (read my review of this also). I replaced the phone due to an on-going problem with the screen. Whenever I went to read the screen, there would be nothing there....

Pros: Small, lightweight, great features
Cons: No durability, poor reception, do not last more than a year.

Great phone

by pbwise , Apr 09 '01
Pros: great battery life, easy to use menus, great quality
Cons: a little heavy, newer and lighter models out there now
I have had my Nokia phone since August and could not be happier. The menus are easy to navigate, it has a large number of options. From a Calendar, to games, to setting the ringing tone, it is all here.

The battery life on all Nokia phones...

Nokia 6160, great for us poor students

by LieutPage , Mar 12 '01
Pros: Tons of features, good everywhere, long lasting battery, and games for when you get bored.
Cons: Can't really think of any.
I spent well over a year of shopping and comparing phones before I finally decided on this one. I don't have or make a lot of money but I do a lot of traveling and I need something that is going to last on a long road trip and that I can count on if I'm...
