Pros: perfect colour matching, light-weight, long-wearing, oil free, natural finish Cons: only SPF 10, oil free not oil controlling!
I have long been a fan of Prescriptives and no longer waste my time at other counters when I'm looking for a foundation. There's no doubt about the fact that when it comes to makeup, Prescriptives have all the bases (no pun intended!)...
Pros: The color couldn't be a better match. Cons: Pricey.
Preamble
Some days, I hate my skin. Just when I get used to it being as dry as the desert, it up and changes on me. Around the January timeframe, my face started getting oily in the t-zone area. Everything I was using seemed to wreak havoc...
Pros: great color matching, SPF 10, feels weightless Cons: doesn't hold up if you sweat, only SPF 10, expensive
Preamble: Foundation or Mask? Or, Hooker or Kabuki Singer?
I started dabbling with foundation at the wee age of 13. I had zits and I thought, "Foundation, cool. It'll hide EVERYTHING." So, for years I went out looking either like a...
Pros: Exact color matching, evens out skin, natural looking, lasts all day Cons: Price, dries skin?(maybe its just me)
Being that I've just recently discovered how fun makeup can be and what a difference it can make on the way you look, I've been trying new things, stuff I would have never considered using before. Foundation is one of them. I always thought it was the...
Pros: Color match, ease of application, will last you awhile. Cons: Wear (it fades), and if you have dry skin it emphasizes flakes.
I have debated about whether or not to write a review for this product for a few weeks now; I do not mean to sound wishy-washy, but as much as I like the product, it is not perfect, hence my hesitation. Foundation is very tricky; there are so many ...
Pros: shade range Cons: looks cakey, doesn't have a long shelf-life, clogs pores, price!
Prescriptives has built a solid reputation on their foundations and shading systems. There are four different foundation groups: Yellow/Orange, Red/Blue, Red/Orange and Red/Pink. With neutral/yellow undertones I have always belonged to the...
Pros: Wide range of colors, SPF 10, last all day. Cons: Pricey.
My mother always uses this foundation and when I started wearing makeup this is what she bought me. I used to play around with other drugstore brands, but they always looked heavy or fake, and never the right match. I am Chinese so therefore I have...
Pros: Looks great, feels great, SPF, lots of colors to choose from Cons: Doesn't last all day, not UVA/UVB sunscreen, bit pricey
I am always out for the *perfect* product (but isn't every girl?). My cousin told me about how great Prescriptives is, so I thought, why not? That is how I met the perfect foundation (well...almost perfect). Product Description (from website): Erases ...
Pros: range of colors (especially for yellow-toned skin)
length of wear
feel Cons: emphasizes flakes
About me: I am in my twenties, with combination-oily skin. I started using Virtual Skin (VS) regularly for about 3 months now. Prior to that, I have spent over $150 on drugstore and department store foundations (Almay, Clinique, Neutrogena, etc). ...
Pros: I kept the receipt. Cons: Greasy and plastic-feeling, causes breakouts, THE PRICE...etc.
OK this stuff along with other Px products are usually revered in these reviews...
I however have a different story...
First, the MA put me in the blue/red category when I have yellow undertones which made the shade appear dark and pink and anything but natural.
The products consistency reminded my alot of nylon, the way it felt was synthetic and plastic.
After I put it on it didn't cover well and looked cakey, and it never really set.
After only a short while it always gave me dry patches and wore off into spots.
Then to finish off a day of using Virtual Skin I had plenty of clogged pores, a few white heads, and an allergic reaction.
This product was 'virtually' a nightmare. It's crazy expensive, the shade was anything but me, it felt like plastic, looked awful on, dried me out, then to top it off, broke me out. I would so not recommend this to anyone.
