ProForm CrossWalk Caliber Treadmill

Pros: Rugged construction, nice features and accessories, nice fold-up design, well documented easy to understand manual.
Cons: Not very portable, very heavy, considerable amount of assembly required. Built-in fan not very powerful.

Pros: Works reasonably well as basic treadmill, at least when new.
Cons: Terrible customer service, pulse check function is worthless.

The pulse check capability of the Crosswalk is worthless, you actually have to stop your workout, place your feet on the stationary sides of the treadmill, then hold your thumb or finger absolutely still on the sensor - and even then it has questionable accuracy!

Proform's infamously poor customer service means that I will never buy another Proform ever again! I can never get thru to a live person on their tollfree customer service number. I was placed on hold for a LONG time, then it transferred me to an answering machine so I could "leave my number" for a return call that never comes...

I need a part for my treadmill that costs $2 and they want $12.95 to ship it. It weighs about 2 ounces.
