This past weekend one of the cosmic questions got answered. What do you buy for a "gadget geek's" birthday? A particularly difficult question to answer in light of the fact that this gadget geek already owns one of everything. That's right, ...
Pros: Simple to use, get pictures, teeny size can go anywhere. Cons: Absolutely none.
We're into photography at our house. We have a great camcorder, which is actually relatively small and takes great pictures. But even small camcorders are sometimes difficult to carry around. The Flip Mino caught our attention after ...

Pros: it's cute, easy to carry, picture quality is decent. Cons:
you cannot actually make home movies, even if that's what it says.
My boss had one of these camcorders and I just had to have one when I saw how clear the picture was. I finally got one and it said on the box that it comes with free software so you can make movies. Well, considering thats what you usually do with a ...
May 2009. The camcorder works, but downloading to their software never worked. I could not get the product to work properly with my vista computer. The company sent me different versions of software including beta but did not seem to want to help other than waste my time trying software which all gave the same cryptic error messages. They finally told me if I can't get it to work, don't use their product. They told me it was my computer's fault instead of their faulty software causing strange error messages. I was able to view the video from windows programs but not their own software which has their easy editing capabiltiies. That's the attitude of a company heading towards quick departure from the tech scene. don't waste your money. they will be better products on the market shortly.
Good quality, simple to use by rcharette ,Feb 16 '09
Pros: Excellent low light performance Good battery Dead simple to use Cons: No expandable memory No external light no external mic input
This camcorder is an excellent value for the price and truly dead simple to use. The most pleasant surprise about this device is the low light performance. It is better than a number of much more expensive camcorders. The included software is fairly rudimentary, especially when compared to other consumer-level software packages available (iMovie, Final Cut Express, Movie Maker, etc.), but it will do for basic editing.
The other nice feature is the integration with YouTube. Uploading movies to the service is very straight forward and simple. Overall, this is a good camcorder at a great price.
