Pros: Smooth, sweet, rich, dark, complex. Cons: I don't have an endless supply of it.
Summary: Just goes to show why children don't get to be cynics yet. Pyrat XO is an all around, truly fine Rum, and I'm not just saying this because I had some for breakfast. I first discovered it on recommendation from a BevMo employee who I trusted because ...

Pros: Smooth, sweet, and well-priced. Cons: Slight whiff of wet baby diapers.
Summary: Pyrat Rum XO Reserve is a bit of an anomaly in the world of rum. It is one of the sweetest rums on the market, has a vibrant orange curacao note that can almost be overwhelming at times, and is produced on the island of Anguilla which has never ...

Pros: Highly unique flavor and nose with tobacco notes. Moderately priced for it's distinct flavor. a mixlogists dream Cons: cheap cork poor standard dark rum substitute slight burn on the nose and tongue
Summary: I was excited to try Pyrat given it's high hype and ties to Patron which, Cafe XO aside, I find to offer a great line of liquor.Upon opening my bottle I was dissappointed to find the cork was extremely dry and actually crumbled upon ...

Pros: Distinct, pure flavor that is hard to dislike. Cons: Not quite as complex of a flavor mix as some rum connoisseurs enjoy.
Summary: I have tried countless rums in every price point from Parrot Bay, Captain Morgan's Private Stock, Bacardi 8, to Zaya and Sea Wynde as well as many others not worth mentioning and Pryat XO Reserve is undoubtedly my favorite. The problem with many rums ...

Pros: straight drinkablility... cost Cons: sometimes hard to find
Summary: ... To mix this rum is blasphemy .... It should be sipped neat in a fine glass or in a slowly sipped shot ... no ice for this ...... it ruins the flavors .... sip it feel the burn and taste the sugar it was made from.......there are some fine rums out

Pros: Warm, good flavor, pleasant , inviting. Cons: Not available in 55 gallon kegs.
Summary: What a pleasant liquid. You don't have to like Rum to enjoy this. The first sip is definately an introduction. Take at least two minutes to allow the full cycle of sensation, prior to considering the second taste. There in rests the unique attribute of

Pros: Absolutely, bar none, the BEST rum I've ever used with wassail! Also delicious by itself. Cons: Wish it was sold in gallons.
Summary: I purchased Pyrat Rum X0 Reserve on a suggestion by a friend of mine for a wassail I was making for a New Year's Day dinner. Let me put it this way: six liters of wassail (with rum) were gone in 15 minutes. Then they went for the

Pros: Quality straight through. Reasonable price. Cons: Get out of here...
Summary: One of the better rums I've tried so far. There is a twin layered flavor, like orange or something on top of a sweet fresh rum taste. It tastes a bit like Carlisle Reef Rum, another very good rum. There is a pleasant flavor about it that I can't place
