RCA RP3720 Clock Radio

I really only wanted a large-digit clock, so I didn't care about the radio and alarm features. However, as all the other reviewers have stated, the automatic time setting feature simply doesn't work. But with battery backup, it's not really a big deal, just a big disappointment.

Pros: Cool blue LED display (cool until you want to sleep), nice loud alarm beep.
Cons: Display too bright at night.

I was attracted to the cool blue LED display in the store, as well as the LOUD alarm beep (very important to me).

Took it home and plugged it in. This clock DOES NOT automatically set the correct time (as advertised), but it has an AWESOME, very easy to use time-set rotating dial (I REALLY like that feature).

Now for the deal-breaker. I tried to go to sleep, but was annoyed by the clock's bright display. There is an "auto brightness" switch, but when I switched it to "off", the display got much brighter! I had to actually turn the clock around so I could fall asleep.

Returning this clock to Best Buy, and I guess I'll go with a red LED clock (like my old one).
