Pros: Nice looks. Gives good decent stereo sound. Cons: Plays DVD's in black & white only, a very severe chronic defect!!!
WHY RCA? I bought the RCA RTDVD1 to replace an Akai DVD player that all of a sudden went completely dead after only a year. I thought that I was getting at least a halfway decent sounding reliable unit. The sound wasn't too bad at least, but I ...
Pros: Nice set-up. Good output of sound. Dolby Digital and 5 speaker and a subwoofer. Cons: confusing remote, but can be figured out.
I know Christmas is just around the corner, but my husband and I decided to make it come a little earlier for us. We went shopping, yesterday to be exact, in search of purchasing a home theater system. We like to buy alot of DVDs and we have been ...
Pros: Dolby Digital, Pro-logic II, nice design, sounds better than you'd think Cons: No DTS, Component out
Okay, let me give you a bit of background. I HAD a very nice yamaha digital surround system until my neighbors complained to the point where I couldn't even turn my system up where I could hear it. So I sold it all and bought this system. I haven't...
Pros: Dolby Digital, Pro Logic 2, S-video, great sound, 200 watts, Satellite Speakers, Sleek Design Cons: No DTS, No (Component)Progressive scan,
I work at RadioShack and if I'm telling you that the RTDVD1 system sounds good, you better believe it does. Whenever we get any new systems in the store, we usually check them out to see how they sound. Some of my co-workers bought the one's they liked ...
Pros: Compact size, universal remote, features, decent DD decoding, classy cosmetics. Cons: Passive sub, slow response time of some controls, might be underpowered in larger rooms.
Purchased at Radio Shack for $349 (the sale was dependent on the $50 rebate.) That brings the price of this nifty little HT rig down to about equal with the competition. As I was unpacking the box, I honestly didn't expect much from an all-in-one,...
Great system at an affordable price. by glp103 ,Sep 10 '03
Pros: Price, sound, connections and options. Cons: Tricky remote, no DTS, single DVD drive.
I am a bit new to surround sound, but this affordable package is all I needed. I watched Lord of the Rings as my first movie and the sounds were coming from all over the room. The subwoofer was more than adequate with all of the low rubbling sounds you get with action movies and was great with Cd's and the tuner. I paid $179.00 at Radio Shack with including the $50.00 rebate.
glad i got an extended warranty by jmattbailey ,Sep 27 '04
Pros: sound
looks cool
Cons: dvd player sucks
sub is weak
Like the previous review the dvd player gave out on me after a year...this is definatly the last rca product im buying. The sound is pretty good, should've gone with a powered subwoofer setup. Like I said get the extended warranty...well better off don't but it!
