Pros: grounds and pool area are probably beautiful when not under water. Cons: (see above)
I stayed at the Radisson 12/29/04 to 1/2/05, and was very uninspired by the experience. The first night, we attended the in-house production of the play South Pacific. It turned out to be "community theater" grade acting and singing...average at best. ...
Pros: Great location, nice pools, shuttle bus provided Cons: Not resort material, non-swimmable beach
************ LIKES ************ • Great location. My wife and I stayed here on the 2nd part of our honeymoon and enjoyed every most of our stay on the island of Kauai – there were some bad weather issues. We spent our 1st part in Oahu ...
Pros: great for families with younger children, soft towels, central area on island Cons: worth the money???, not a true resort
My family and I stayed at the Radisson Kauai Beach Resort during the last week of August 2004. My husband and I travel a great deal for work and we were looking forward to staying at the Radisson Kauai knowing that our previous stays at other Radisson ...
Pros: Value, location, grounds Cons: Parking fee of about $6/day
My fiancee and I stayed at the Radisson for the first week of March 2004. Our hotel choice was narrowed to about 3 or 4 reasonably priced locations, but we settled on the Radisson because it appeared to be a nicer hotel for the money. We felt great ...
Pros: Convenient location "mid-island", nice pools.
Cons: Not advisable to swim at beach.
It is a nice hotel with a competent and pleasant staff who were always friendly and willing to help. Our room with the two double beds was comfortable with enough space to add a camping cot for our youngest (18/under stay free with adults). If you feel ...
Pros: beach views, happy hour, pools, secluded and laid back Cons: beach swimming at your own risk
Stayed here with my family Memorial Day weekend 2004. A surprising gem in my opinion. The pools are more than adequate. Nice rock/natural landscape to give you that true resort feel. It is a beachfront resort, but like a previous reviewer said, "Not ...
Pros: Happy Hour, restaurant not bad. Cons: Too many to name. Overpriced and run down.
I would like to start this review by saying that I am by no means high maintenance or difficult to please. I do, however, expect value for money and it is for this reason that I must warn against anyone staying at this hotel. My fiance and I visited in ...
Pros: Location, decor, friendliness, not crowded & price!! Cons: No swimmable beach, no spa
My husband, son & I stayed here last May for 5 days. I really did not know what to expect since they had just opened after buying out another hotel that existed there. The price for us was so great ($93.00 a night), so we could not pass on this deal. My...
Pros: The bar was OK. Cons: uncomfortable, bad service, infrastructure issues
We stayed at the KBR for 5 nights. The bed was uncomfortable. The jacuzzi was not working, the pool was closed much of the time. There is no safe access to the water at the beach. The Pool cafe was hardly ever open. The Luau entertainment was very poor with a small cast. The drainage system is extremely poor and could not handle the winter rain causing flooding thoughout the grounds. Had to wade in 6" of water to get to the car. The service was uninspired. the consierge mislead us. The theatre production was high school grade. The video on demand never did work, but the charges made it to the bill with no problem. It's not a full service resort but had a full service price tag. no special amentities in the rooms except for one small bottle of water and some coffee. But the maid service did not provide clean mugs every time. The shower was OK. The restaurant featured buffet for breakfast and atleast one dinner we went to. It wasn't very good. Should I go on?..... Oh yeah... Kauai is a great island.
Pros: Value; location; friendliness of staff. Cons: none that I can think of.
I stayed at the Radisson Kauai in January of 2002 and enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in a very good central location on the island, convenient for purposes of exploring both the southern and northern coasts of the island. There was a good (and free) welcome breakfast in which a variety of tour and excursion vendors provided information on their products. My room was clean, with a nice view of the ocean. The business center was good, and the staff very helpful. The beach is not, by and large, safe to swim at, but the pool area is very nice. The food was good, although not exceptional; and the bar was very comfortable. For the price, this hotel is a very good value.
