Pros: Works great, Easy to apply, Price, Long lasting. Cons: Doesn't smell like Gucci Rush?
I purchased Rain-X Glass Treatment in hopes that it would improve visibility when driving in heavy downpours and heavy snow. When I first used this product I was living in extreme Northern California; where the winter rains can create blinding driving ...
Pros: It works, Makes driving safer Cons: Wears off
It is simple...Rain-X works great. It is almost mandatory that any car I own has it applied to the glass. Driving in the rain is much easier to see and more importantly, safer with this product applied to the windows. Rain-X is basically wax for your ...
Over the past few months I have suddenly gotten into making my car look and perform a lot better. Though the car isn't much of a classic as it is a Korean Yugo, I try to make it perform as well as possible. The bad side about owning a small car is ...
Pros: This will do exactly what it says. Cons: A little bit on the pricey side.
When they came out with this product years ago, I was pretty skeptical about using it. I did not know whether or not it would damage the windshield wipers. But, after testing it on half my windshield I saw the difference immediately. It improved my ...
Pros: Pros: Keeps water mostly off of your windshield
Cons: Takes a few extra minutes to apply
I live in Florida, and one thing that it tends to do in Florida is rain. Every day. And not that drizzle stuff you get up north; here every day there’s a thunderstorm complete with water that hits your windshield far faster then the wipers can get it ...
Pros: Works as it says it will, economical, long lasting Cons: Why aren't there more products like this?
Rain-X Glass Treatment This is a product that is so good it makes you wonder how you got along without it. Rain-X is a clear liquid that you apply to a clean glass windshield and then water, snow, fog, etc. will not stick. Water ...
just put on on all exterior auto glass one a month or like me once every 2 months. You will be surprised at how clearly you can see in all rain! Esp effective at night. At speed (60 mph), you can just turn off the wipers if you want. And when it is a misty, foggy kinda day, I definitely do not use the wipers I apply with a paper towel and find it doesn't leave a greasy bit of residue if I remove with an old t shirt.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED,,,for NEW CARS,,,and NEW BATH GLASS SHOWER ENCLOSURES,,,the "outdoor" version by cal48boy ,Nov 28 '06
Pros: The "outdoor" Rain-x works well briefly on outside car windows and indoor showerstall glass. Cons: It does not last ,,,you must apply it often ,,, brand new glass
I have used Rain-X on not new car windshields, inside the "fog" version and outside the "outdoor" version of Rain-X,,,and do NOT RECOMMEND the inside "fog" product as it does not last very long/more than a month.
I DO RECOMMEND the "outdoor" Rain-X for the FREQUENT/MONTHLY use on all outside glass, such as rear view mirrors, side windows, rear windows, windshields,,,but you MUST DO IT ON BRAND NEW GLASS STRAIGHT OFF THE CAR DEALERSHIP FLOOR !!
It also works well on NEW HOME SHOWER GLASS DOORS AND ENCLOSURES,,,but again, you MUST START WITH BRAND NEW CLEAN GLASS for the best results, and apply often/monthly,,,it may seem like over doing it, but this product does not last, and if you wait ,,,and get hard water mineral spots,,,AND soap scum,,,you can pretty much forget any hope of a good result.
Pros: Does help the water bead and slide off. I like the alcohol smell unlike others. Cons: Makes the wipers slide OVER the water and make beads. Bad in slight drizzle.
I got it yesterday ad applied it to my car and my friends. It hasnt rained much, just like spots of water. So far it hasnt been very good because the water is too small to be whisked off the windshield, so it makes it a bit worse and it seems like my windshield wipers dont work as well with the rain-x, They seem to slide over the water too much and leave a streak across the whole window. Before the Rain-x they were pretty good. You can really tell though which windows have the Rain-x its like night and day. I love this on my rear window and side windows/mirrors. With my tint it makes it hard to see out the side windows during low light conditions when there's water, but with the rain-x no water and good visibility. I think rain-x really needs a decent amount of rain to work well because the beads need to be able to be shot of the windsheild. My friend thought the stuff was pretty cool also.
