Pros: Highly effective, Easy to set, Easy to empty and reusable Cons: Sneaky price increases during peak periods of use.
I've been using D-Con Covered Snap Mouse Traps for several years ever since I started singing No More Mr. Nice Guy and quit using live traps. Things were civil between the mice and I when I was simply moving them out of the garage each ...
Pros: Easy and safe to use. Cons: Sometimes mice can be dumb.
We live on a lake and there are lots of critters that we have living around us. There is a nearby park area and a vacant lot next door to us and critters abound. However, we never really paid much attention to them until our faithful cat, Snoopy, died a ...
Pros: Very easy to set, no mess, no bait-stealing, no misfiring, no escaping. Cons: 5 times more expensive than traditional traps (but much more effective).
I lost a number of tulips this spring because voles were eating the bulbs. The voles were also tunneling all through my lawn to the point were it's difficult to walk without sinking into the ground, and the lawn mower scalps places even on the highest ...
Pros: Finger Safe! Easy to arm. Sturdy. Reuseable. Cons: Little pricey.
Yesterday I found that a mouse had gotten into the bird seed stored in our basement and made quite a mess. (Yes, I know, my fault for leaving it out. I bought a storage tote along with the trap.) Time for a trip to the hardware ...
Pros: None. Cons: Expensive; $5.30 for a pack of two; didn't work.
A couple months ago I saw a very small brown mouse run behind the kitchen stove. Then I found mouse doodoo on a kitchen counter and in three silverware drawers. The mouse/mice may have been coming from the basement through a cat door into the kitchen. ...
Efficient, no mess, no touching the mouse by mparker69 ,Mar 22 '05
Pros: Under five dollars, no danger of fingers getting caught, no mess. Cons: I have no complaints.
Report: three mice kills without mess or having to touch them.
I really do not care about "humanely" killing a mouse. What matters is an efficient kill that doesn't burst the body open. (I do not know if that happens with old-fashion Victor traps but I didn't want it to take that chance.)
A tiny nugget of blue cheese is good bait.
Pros: Easy to set. Very effective. Easy to empty. Easy to clean. Cons: A bit more expensive than the average mousetrap.
I live in the country and as the weather gets cold, little furry friends look for warmth inside. My wife is mouse-phobic and demanded a solution. I came across the D-Con traps at a hardware store and, having had experience with every variety of snap and glue trap, thought I would give it a shot. These traps have proved VERY effective at catching the mice and very easy to clean and reuse. I would strongly recommend them to anyone with a mouse problem.
Pros: Easy to use. Cons: Designed poorly. Hits them in the mid-back instead the one-blow, behind the head hit.
This trap has consistently broke their little backs without killing them. They are not killed instantly and humanely, they are very much alive and trying to pull their useless legs out. It's horrible!
I bought it put some peanut butter in there, and set it. The next morning the trap was set off. The plastic inside broke and it won't lock. I took it back to Target and they refused to take it back because it was used. Paid $4.50 for it and caught no mice
works great once or twice by windrider01j ,Jul 28 '09
Pros: Catches mice and not birds. Cons: Won't re-set after one or two catches.
The trap works great for the first one or two catches. Then it won't reset. Rather costly per catch. I still buy them when I have an indoor mouse so my dog doesn't get caught.
