  • Eucalyptus not DEET..... Does it Repel?

    Nov 05 '03
Pros: Repel is definately less toxic than other products.
Cons: Repel doesn't work any better than anything else I've used. Can cause irritation.

Summary: During our summer vacation I bought Repel Lemon Eucalyptus Insect Repellent figuring I would try something that looked less toxic and perhaps might even work in spite of not having DEET. What is Repel Repel claims to be a plan ... read more

  • Works well in southern Maine

    Apr 30 '11
Pros: Works very well against black flies, midges, moderate mosquito activity, and ticks.
Cons: The next day, you won't have trouble determining which clothes you wore the day before.

Summary: The Repel Lemon Eucalyptus Insect Repellent spray pump product is all I've used for the past two years to keep black flies, midges, mosquitoes, and ticks away. I buy it on-line, 6 to 8 bottles at a time, using search utilities such as ... read more

  • Tick Free and Lovin' It

    May 26 '05
Pros: Repels ticks, even when their are millions.
Cons: stinks to high heaven. (a pro?)

Summary: I like to go hiking with the dogs, but what I don't like is coming home and finding two ticks on me and one on the dog. Tick are by far one the nastiest creatures ever conceived by Lucifer himself. Since I didn't want to stop hiking with the dogs, and I ... read more

  • Natural yet effective measure against those $#@% skeeters!

    Jul 20 '04
    Pros: Natural, but effective.
Cons: Strong, acidic stuff. Washes off.

Summary: If you live somewhere like Minnesota, mosquitoes- swarms of them- are a fact of life. This in turn makes bug repellent a fact of life as well if you ever intend enjoying the outdoors between June and August. I'm no big fan of Deet-based bug repellent ... read more

  • Repel REALLY works against Vermont bugs!

    Jul 09 '09
Pros: Very effective against a range of bugs.
Cons: Need to reapply every few hours to keep up the repellency.

Summary: I'm impressed.  This stuff works really well against mosquitoes, ticks and even black flies.  I have given it to a bunch of logger friends who battle daily with the bugs and they were all impressed.  No more DEET for

  • REPEL works great !

    Jul 11 '07
Pros: Pleasant smell, works great, can use it on my animals as well
Cons: Can't find it at my local store anymore.

Summary: REPEL Lemon Eucalyptus keeps ALL the bugs off of me, my husband, the dogs and the cat! Clean, fresh scent.

  • Repel Lemon Eucalyptus Works for My Family

    Sep 15 '05
Pros: Works as well as the Deet-based products but much more natural
    Cons: Smell is very strong

Summary: Every August my family (3 kids, ages 5 to 10, a husband and a dog) rent a cabin on a beautiful lake in northern Wisconsin. Our only complaint every year is the mosquitoes. For those of you who don’t know it, mosquitoes are Wisconsin’s

  • It works in Costa Rica!

    Nov 16 '04
Pros: Easy to use and works well.
Cons: There isn't anything I don't like about it.

Summary: This is great stuff. I am always the person the mosquitoes flock to and with "Repel Lemon Eucalyptus" I don't get any bites when we go out to dinner. The restaurants in our little town of Jaco are all outdoors, so bug repellent is a must. I don't know

  • A potent organic

    Jul 01 '04
Pros: Powerful as all get out.
Cons: Powerful as all get out -- DO NOT get in eyes; sensitive skin areas.

Summary: Don't let the "natural" air of this product fool you -- it works hard and long, easily approaching DEET's effectiveness. There is a price to pay. Repel is seriously odoriferous, likely a large part of its effectiveness. However, when it comes to

  • Repel Lotion Worked for Me

    Mar 04 '04
    Pros: Non-DEET, Worked very well
    Cons: May cause skin irritation

Summary: I have been very happy with the results we have had when using Repel Lemon Eucalyptus to repel mosquitos. I have used the spray and the lotion and had better results and coverage with the lotion. I originally purchased Repel because we were heading
