Pros: Location (UCSD, restaurants), cheap price for area Cons: Breakfast, noisy, crowded, like a college apartment complex in all the bad ways
Before I begin, let me say that I am used to staying in luxury type hotels/resorts, so I am biased to begin with, but even having said that, I felt like this property just didn't measure up to what I thought it would/should be- a basic, utilitarian hotel ...
Pros: Proximity to better places. Comparatively inexpensive. Bus line nearby. Free parking. Nice kitchenette w/oven. Cons: Uninspired location. Rubbery breakfasts. Constant sound of cars. Far from real sightseeing.
Nestled between a highway and another highway, this little barker will meet all of your most basic human needs. And little else. The last time I stayed there they were redecorating, which must have made an improvement no matter what they did. The ...
Pros: Excellent for a longer stay with room for the family to spread out. Cons: It doesn't feel like you're at a resort...but that isn't in our price range!
FULL DISCLOSURE: This review is from a trip taken in April, 2006. We visited the San Diego/La Jolla area for 5 days, and the Residence Inn was perfect for us. My wife, myself and our 18 year old son and 13 year old daughter. It was a family vacation. ...
Pros: Location, service, included meals, heated pool, mini kitchens Cons: a few small ants, getting there off of I-5 may be tricky
Last August my family & I stayed here for 3 weeks. We were traveling on business & needed something with "home like" amenities. The hotel was booked for us by a co-worker of my husbands, so I really did not know what to expect. The price that we paid was...
A Very Nice Place to Stay by jmurph203 ,Mar 24 '04
Pros: Location and amenities Cons: Nothing
I have been lucky to stay at this property a few times in early 2004 when I booked through priceline.com. In early 2004, the property began replacing dated furnishings and materials which really brought up the appearance level of the hotel. The layout of the property is pretty nice, where buildings are clustered around a small courtyard which includes hot tubs and grills. Backing the property is a good selection of restaurants and grocery stores in which you can make good use of your kitchen. The breakfast buffet seems to be a bit more expanded than other Residence Inns that I have stayed in and well worth the visit.
