I have been using Revlon Color Stay. Sand beige for years but always trying others consealers to see how they work. Available in three shades. Ivory, Sand Beige, Neutral Beige Revlon Concealer. flawlessly covers ...
Pros: long lasting, good coverage, blends well, oil free, SPF 6 Cons: only SPF 6, "Revlon-ish scent", can cake if you rush blending
Last Saturday night as I was preparing for a night out I realised it had been a while since I had used concealer under my eyes. Not that I didn't get dark circles occasionally, but just that I had run out and just forgot to buy more. A few days of...
Pros: Won't rub off, complete coverage, long wearing Cons: Won't eliminate problems, just hide them
I prefer a liquid concealer, and of course I also like them to stay put, so I’ve been buying Revlon Colorstay Concealer for quite a while. Colorstay products are long wearing and don’t rub off. They stay on until you take them off.
Pros: Oil free, Lasts and lasts and lasts, Will not cause unsightly breakouts. Cons: Don't get too close to your hairline, or eyebrows.
Okay I've been there, used that. You name the concealer and I've used it. While most products I've tried causes that nasty caking (I'm so doused in makeup look), SHINE, and even more breakouts wich leads to having to use even more concealer just to hide ...
Great formula, limited colour range by vanity_smurf ,Dec 28 '03
Pros: Lasts, good coverage, good consistency Cons: lack of colour choice, fragrance
I bought this product because my favourite concealer was discontinued. I had been told that Almay was just a hypo-allergenic version of Revlon. So I bought the Revlon version. I had a difficult time finding a colour light enough. Out of desperation I settled for a colour which was a little too dark.
The product concealed the zits that I had, and lasted like it was supposed to.
The only thing I hated about it was that it had a pinky tone, rather than a yellow based tone.
Pros: coverage, stays the whole day even on oily skin, cheap Cons: there's a trick to applying it, packaging
I'm Asian, with dark undereye circles, oily skin, and I live in a country with humid weather most of the year...the perfect combination if you want your makeup to slide off by 9 am.
I discovered Revlon Colorstay Concealer through the forums here, and was quite happy when I found out it's available where I live. When I first bought it, I was initially unhappy because, as I realized later on, I didn't know how to apply it correctly.
There's a secret to the application, which took me several tries and nearly rejecting it before i got it right. I discovered that it goes on best when i apply about 2 dots from the wand on the pad of my ring finger, and then very gently pat it on my undereye area. It goes on flawlessly, blends very well with my skin, and does not cake.
It's much, much better than MAC, which a makeup artist friend recommended, but I wish it had the same packaging as the MAC concealers. I dislike Revlon's tube/wand packaging.
Bottom line: I cannot live without this product, I wear it even on "no makeup" days.
