Pros: Stays On For Hours. Cons: Takes ALL The Moisture Out Of Your Lips!
I'm one of those people who have lipsticks or lipgloss everywhere. I have it in my purse, bathroom, office desk. If I'm going to be walking for awhile, I put one in my pocket. I just like to have lipstick or lipgloss on hand because I can't stand dry ...
Pros: lots of color choices Cons: drying, makes lips look wrinkled, expensive
Most women spend hours in the beauty section of stores looking for that perfect lipstick. We long for a lipstick that provides just enough moisture to keep our lips moist and soft. We also want one that does not need to be reapplied every time we breathe...
Pros: Some nice colors Cons: Dries up, looks more like dye than lip color. Not natural looking.
The ads claim you can apply this once and it will stay on all day. That sounded good to me I was tired of applying lipstick that ended up on my teeth 15 minutes later. Not to mention having my lipstick end up on my husbands collar. Since I only wear...
Pros: Good staying power compared to most lipsticks, relatively inexpensive Cons: It does fade and transfer a little
I don't wear a lot of makeup and I seldom wear lipstick because I find that it lasts about an hour on me before disappearing, shorter if I eat, drink, or kiss. So, what was I supposed to do about lipstick at my own wedding?
When I took to stage, a few years ago, having a long-lasting lip color was very important. Time spent reapplying your color was money lost. When Revlon first introduced this line I heard nothing but good about the lasting quality of their lipsticks...
Pros: None I like Cons: Sticky, dry, flakes, peels, And so much more.
I have tried many products from Revlon's "Colorstay" Line. When I saw Revlon Colorstay lipcolor I was hesitant to try it. I finally gave in when The local Giant had the color 50% off, and I had an added coupon. So I only ended up paying like ...
Pros: The color stays put. Neat, slim case. Cons: You have to really scrub to get it off. It's incredibly drying. Feels like chalk. Clumps and bleeds.
I first purchased this product back in 1996. Isn't it cool how I can remember when I first purchased a tube of lipstick? I remember because I bought it for my senior prom. I knew how to make lipstick last. Years of ballet and drama club performances...
Pros: Wonderful colors, easy to fill in lips Cons: Too soft, can't get a good point, wears off quickly.
I've taken to wearing lip liner under my lip color lately–I'm tired of losing my lip color within 20 minutes, tired of the patchy, ugly way my lips begin to look when I try to wear any lip color with even an ounce of "oomph!" I've gone through a gang...
I applied Revlon Colorstay Lipcolor and almost panicked when I saw the lipcolor seeping from my lips into the creases of my skin. I rarely have trouble with lipstick "bleeding" from my lips. I am young and my skin is healthy. ...
I wasn't going to write about this product..since it's so
bad. But I need to write about the good products on the
market as well as the ones that leave a lot to be desired. Revlon Colorstay Lipcolor is definitely one to
leave...
Pros: It Does What It Says It Does...but Cons: It Really Doesnt Come Off ....At Least Not Right Away..
“Won’t Kiss Off?…No kidding!"
When Revlon first came out with this new product I wasn’t extremely eager to try it. I had been generally happy with how I wear my lipstick but curiosity got the best of me and I said well let’s give it a...
It used to be that all lipsticks I tried would disappear off my lips within 20 minutes......they just didn't last! This lipstick lasts, but has one drawback. It makes my lips feel dry later. ---------- I have used this for a long time....
Pros: Color stays put, have RED, bleeds less, slim tube Cons: feathers a tiny bit, makes lips peel in winter, breaks easily if swiveled too much
Do you know how hard it is to find red lipstick? I mean, you can get pink, mauve, purple, burgundy- the color list goes on and on. However, when it comes to RED, it is very difficult to find.
As some of you may know from other reviews I have...
Pros: Non-transferrable, good range of colors, best quality drugstore brand I've found Cons: Drying, one of the most expensive drugstore brands, not a ton of color choices
I introduced myself to Revlon Colorstay Lipcolor a LONG time ago. Like when it first came out in the '90's. The idea of a non-transferrable, non-fading lipstick was just too good to be true. If you've read some of my other cosmetic reviews,...
Pros: nice variety of colors, it IS long lasting Cons: you wont want it to last as long as it does
You can tell when I'm disappointed in a make-up purchase as soon as you look at the compact, vial, tube, etc. and find it in nearly pristine condition.
When I used this lipstick again today for the purpose of this review you could barely tell...
Pros: I got it CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP ! Cons: Texture and consistency varies with color
I have been searching for a lipstick with staying power since about 1991. That's when I turned 21 and was hitting the bar scene and thought it would be(insert head bob here) "so totally awesome!" to not have to carry my lipstick with me while I bar...
Pros: Large variety of color, stays where I put it, wears well Cons: doesn't have any shine, feels dry on my lips
I have only recent begun to wear makeup again. I am still experimenting, trying to find just the right brands of makeup that will suit my needs. I have chosen the MAC products because I like the way they look and feel. I especially like the way my...
Pros: Great colors, no smell, dries, stays long. Cons: Price, not rub proof.
UPDATE
I reviewed this product a while ago when I was new to epinions. Today I decided that I'd like to update it and I sectioned it and added some new info. I unfortunately wasn't able to figure out much to change, so any suggestions are...
Pros: Lasts longer than cheaper brands Cons: Doesn't last MUCH longer than cheaper brands
Revlon's Colorstay Lipcolor has been around for awhile. I used to use it a lot a few years ago, but was never totally satisfied with it, and was just too busy to think about looking for something new.
Pros: Price, doesn't smudge, colors available, readily available Cons: Leaves lips feeling a little parched
I have used Revlon's Colorstay lipstick since it first came out on the market a few years ago. The promise of smudge-proof lipstick was a small miracle for a busy professional woman, like myself, who disliked checking the status of her lipstick...
Pros: Long-lasting color; 27 color choices; decent price Cons: Without prior application of lip balm, can be dry and drying; neither kiss proof nor meal proof (as claimed)
Nail polish distributors Charles and Joseph Revson and nail polish supplier Charles Lachman together founded Revlon in 1932, introducing breakthrough formulas and innovative colors. Seventy years later, the powerhouse Revlon brand is stronger than ever,...
Pros: small, thin tube great for purse, I like the color Cons: price, color doesn't stay, sucks moisture right out of your lips
I love the look of lipstick and am great at hoarding different colors, but hardly ever stray from Cover Girl products. However, I was entranced by the color of lipstick my sister was wearing for our cousin's wedding. In fact, due to the fact that my...
Pros: Cheap when it's on sale, easy to find, found my perfect color! Cons: Expensive when it's not on sale, cakes, streaks, dries out lips!
I'm a lipstick slut. I just can't resist trying new lipsticks. Whenever they're on sale at CVS I have to buy at least one. While I generally stick to the same foundation, blush and eye make-up, I have a whole basket of lipsticks, some good, some bad,...
Pros: nice color, does not come off on everything Cons: looks terrible after about 2 hours or less
I have to have Lip Color at most of my day. So when I seen all the information on Revlon Colorstay Lip Color, I thought I have to try it, it looks like the Lip Color that we made for me.
I like My Lip Color to stay on my Lips and not on my...
Pros: None Cons: Too drying, makes lips peel, causes "bleeding" or "feathering"
I bought Revlon Colorstay Lipcolor in "Scarlet," because I wanted to be bold and buy a red shade of lipstick. Cindy Crawford was splashed all over the ad campaigns, which touted that the color really lasts. It lasts only in an impression that...
Pros: Nice rich color, easy application, perfect blend of gloss and matte Cons: Didn't fill my whole lip outline, color a bit too dark
I've honestly had it with those "slide-off" lip colors. Well, they aren't called "slide-off" in marketing, of course, but that's what you grow to call them once you start using them. Not only do they slide off your lips, but often they don't even reach...
Pros: stays on, lasts and lasts Cons: sometimes hard to get off completely
Let me start out by saying that I have never liked wearing lipstick. It never stays on my lips, although it does seem to adhere very well to my teeth. Since my complexion is so fair (I have been called the “whitest white woman alive” by someone who has...
Apply once and leave on all day. Hey who wouldn't want that. I only wear lipstick on special occasions, but I was tired of it coming off before I even reach the door of where ever it is I am going. I was also tired of being embarrassed about my...
Pros: Many colors available, good concept--but it misses the mark. Cons: Dry, flaky, uneven color.
I'm a big fan of Revlon products. Every season, they have a brand-new glossy advertisement in my favorite magazines, calling me to buy more of their products. Usually, I do, and usually, I'm not disappointed. For a "drugstore brand," Revlon...
Have you ever felt, after a day in the sun and/or wind, as if every drop of moisture had been sucked right out of your lips? If that's a pleasant experience, then do I have the lipstick for you! But the rest of us might choose to avoid Revlon Colorstay....
Pros: doesn't wear off easily, no sharpener required Cons: dries lips unless applied in combination with lip gloss
I've never been much of a lipstick person, always having preferred the hint of color provided by a natural, tinted lip gloss. One boring day, however, when searching for the meaning of life -- and a slightly different look -- I took a friend's suggestion...
Pros: can be a VERY useful product, if you know how to avoid the pitfalls Cons: when used as expected, will turn your lips into a scratchy, blotchy mess
Wait! Don't make Lincoln Logs of those old Colorstay Lipsticks just yet! There's still hope. When I bought Colorstay for the first time several years ago, I was very disappointed with the "blotchy" look it left. I mean, if bloody looking,...
Pros: Long lasting, wide color range, great shape Cons: Somewhat dry texture
I admit it, I'm a lipstick addict. Some women buy shoes, others buy jewelery; I buy lipstick. I'm almost embarassed to admit it, but I physically CANNOT leave my house without lipstick on. That's right, I'll run to the grocery store in sweats with my...
Pros: Good color selection Cons: Too drying, doesn't stay on well
I am the type of person who really hates to reapply lipstick throughout the day. I was really excited to hear about this product when it first came out, and I was anxious to try it.
Pros: the liner is fantastic Cons: the lipstick cakes and clumps up and cracks
Who ever developed this notion of Colorstay for Revlon needs their head examined. While the idea is a great one, this product really stinks. And I am not just talking about makeup fragrance either.
Pros: Stays put for hours Cons: DRY, DRY, DRY, crumbly, colors not true to samples, overpriced
Hey…wait! Isn't lip color supposed to moisturize your lips and keep them "kissably" soft? Hmmm….Sorry, Revlon, your scientists and developers must have taken an extended margarita break during the development of this product. I suppose...
Pros: long and thin-easy to carry, lots of colors Cons: greasy, thick, heavy, chaps lips, flakes off, clumps, bleeds when you eat, very hard to get off
I purchased Revlon Colorstay Lipcolor for the first time about a year ago. There were so many colors to choose from. The encasement is not your usual tube but more of a long thin stick. It is easy to carry. I loved the advertisement of a long-lasting...
Pros: stays on all day, good color selection Cons: dries lips out, darker colors stain lips
There's little in the world I find more disgusting than the sight of lipstick residue on glasses, utensils or someone's face. When stay-on lipsticks came out a few years ago, I immediately became a devotee, even though they generally made my lips feel...
Pros: It is in an attractively smart case/container. Cons: It was not worth the price. It bleeds!!
I never usually use Revlon's product's I tend to go for Max factor but my aunty gave it to me as a small gift and of course I was made to try it on just to please her. So I tried it on. I really liked the container/case of this product because it was...
Pros: Does not bleed, is not smeary or greasy, and does last longer than some. Cons: Its somewhat higher, does come off, and not a lot of great colors.
I started using this lipstick after using many to try to get one to stay on a long time. I really did not want one that had a whole lot of moisturizers in it. I do not think this does. But, it does not seem to dry my lips out or chap them. That is good...
Pros: Works well with chapped lips, nice color selection, applies easily Cons: Stays well, but not as well, not glossy
As a person with perpetually chapped lips, I've found it difficult to use some of the newer "staying" lipcolors. In particular, I've tried Cover Girl's Outlast, which many of my friends love, but which doesn't seem to work for people with chapped lips....
Pros: Very attractive color choices Cons: May not kiss off but it spreads like oil on water.
I am a really good consumer. I watch the commercials and I run out and get the super product! I spend a lot of time coming to a decision on which of the many luscious colors available would look decent on me. I make my choice. I run home and apply it as...
Pros: found a good color for my skin Cons: clumped up
I really never thought I'd be writing a review about any kind of make-up. I'm one those kinds of women that usually only wears make-up on a special occasion so I'm really no expert in this department. I did, however, find this product bad enough that I...
Pros: It stays!!! Cons: I won't buy it unless it's on sale.
ARGH!!!!! Why can't I find a lipstick that looks good on me??? I have been on a quest. I am getting married in September and wanted to find the *perfect* lipstick -- good color and I wouldn't have to reapply it. I have about 20 tubes of lipstick....
Pros: great range of colors and really stays on Cons: does feel a little dry after it's been on awhile
I've tried a lot of long wearing lipsticks (Avon, Ultima II, Clinique, etc.), but none of them have held up like Revlon Colorstay. No, it won't last all day. But when I put it on in the morning, it lasts through kissing my husband good-bye, a cup of...
Pros: Long-lasting color that doesn't bleed. Cons: You must apply a layer of balm before applying Lipcolor.
I'll confess...I've got a bathroom full of lipsticks, foundations, and perfumes that are rarely used. Sadly, most beauty products look better in the package than they do on me.
However, Revlon Colorstay products are a dream come true. This is...
Pros: It didn't come off (even when I wanted it to!) Cons: Allergic Reaction (never before seen with ANY other product)
Two nights ago I attended a company Christmas party with a dear friend of mine. For the special night out, I purchased Revlon Colorstay LipShine in Atomic (#18). By the end of the night, my lips swelled up about four sizes! I looked like a duck billed...
Like most women out there, when a lip color came out that promised not to kiss off (even under the most strenuous circumstances), I jumped at the chance to try it. I bought it and wore it out on my date the next day. We hadn't even gotten past the...
Pros: Variety of enticing colors, takes many kisses to take it off! Cons: A bit pricey!
Tired of spending $4-6 on lipstick, only to find that you're applying it to your lips 20 or more times a day? For a couple bucks more, splurge and spend the $7-10 on a tube of Revlon Colorstay Lip Color. My lip color doesn't feather even when I eat a...
Pros: One application is quite enough Cons: A little on the dry side
I love Revlon Colorstay lip products and it seems like they are coming out with different styles and shades everyday. I first purchased this product because I was tired of putting on lipstick every five minutes. The average lipstick wears off very...
Pros: stays on for a long time Cons: looks dry and clumps up
Years ago, I was mesmerized by the ads on t.v. that they came out with a lipstick that would not transfer. I immediately rushed into Target and purchased a couple of the Revlon Colorstay lipsticks, one red, one brown. At the time, they really didn't...
I have been using Revlon Colorstay lipstick for about 3 years or so. I just read through a few other epinions here, and notice a lot of women don't seem to like this lipstick. As for myself, I like it!
Pros: Nothing Cons: Dries, flakes and feels your lips
I used this product when I was younger and didn't know any better. All I cared about was my lipstick not coming off. I didn't care about how flaky it looked on or how dry it made my lips look and feel. But then I grew up...
Pros: the color was nice Cons: too expensive, did not deliver what it advertised..
I bought this product hoping that this would be the one lipcolor that would not leave me. I even bought a lipliner in the same color family of the lipcolor. Well, to make a long story short, the lipliner lasted longer than the lipcolor, which was...
Pros: N/A Cons: product is expensive and doesn't stay
I wanted a lipstick that would stay for several hours without touch ups or repeated applications.I saw several commercials for Revlon colorstay product and thought it would be something worth looking into. I purchased and used several ...
Pros: Good shade selection, stays on forever Cons: Everything else about this lipcolor is AWFUL
I didn't use this product very long before I dropped it in my "shoebox of cosmetic mistakes". Yes, the shades are pretty; yes, it stays on forever; but you won't want to wear it.
It looks way too matte and goes on too heavy, cakes and feels...
Pros: Put it on, and kiss your heart out - No worries! Cons: The early version (on some shades) were stinky and it's a bit pricey!
My mother was one of those women who would constantly check her make-up and reapply as necessary - Not me. I was born a tomboy, and later in life, when I finally realized I was actually a girl, I was never one to fuss. I put on my make-up, do my hair...
I don't remember the exact reason that I originally purchased this product, but I am always looking for just the right color. I've been searching for a VERY VERY long time and I finally found it.
Who doesn’t love the idea of lipstick that stays on? Who wasn’t intrigued by the commercials with Cindy Crawford swiping her lips against the white shirt, leaving her lipstick in place? Didn’t every lipstick-wearing female run out and buy a tube...
This lipstick just does not do what it claims to do....stay on your lips. I bought this lipstick hoping it would keep color on my lips for at least a couple of hours, but it just never happened.
The first thing I noticed about it upon application...
Pros: The slim point makes it easy to draw a line Cons: It won't retract if you roll it out too far
My upper lip seems to disappear before it gets to the corner of my mouth, so I have used lip liners to fill in this area for quite some time. I tried Revlon Colorstay Lipliner partly because it was in a special deal of lipcolor and lipliner packaged...
I recently tried the Revlon Colorstay lipcolor in Ice, because it went well with a dress I was going to wear to a party. When I first bought it I didn't realize it was colorstay, I just bought it because of the color, but it turned out to be one of the...
Pros: stays on longer than other lipsticks Cons: tends to dry out your lips
When Colorstay Lipcolor came out, I was reluctant to buy it, because of it's higher price. One day, I decided to splurge. I love make-up, and this lipstick just had to be tried. This product claims to "not kiss of on him, or your glass."...
I first started using the Revlon Colorstay line about 4 years ago when they first introduced it.I fell in love with it right away for so many reasons! I will share some with you and I know that you will love this product too if you try it!
Pros: Great color, lasts a long time Cons: Slightly drying
As I look at the comments left previously, I am surprised. I love my Revlon Colorstay Lipstick. I feel so strongly, in fact, that I have converted many of my friends. I found the color while experimenting with any makeup product I could find. I've...
Pros: great range of colors, long lasting Cons: expensive!
The best thing about the Revlon Colorstay lip cosmetics line is that it has colors for all skin tones. This is a huge change for Revlon compared to just a few years ago, when the color range was very limited. I think that there must be a new marketing...
Pros: looks good at first Cons: looks bad after few hours
I heard good things on TV about the new Revlon Colorstay Liquid Lip. So i went out and bought some. I was tired of my lips changing color by lunch time cause the color was wearing off.
At first application the color is really great. I find it...
Pros: Good selection,Great staying power. Cons: Not many pink shades.

Pros: Stays on through normal wear Cons: The drying effect and price
When I first saw this product advertised, I thought...."Hey, I have got to try that!". Well, try I did. The first hour or so it stayed on great, but after that it started drying out my lips. When I say dry, I mean my lips actually started...
Pros: Long lasting, vibrant colors Cons: a bit pricey.
I really enjoy Revlon"s lip colors! I have used this particular lipstick for quite a while now and am always perfectly satisfied with the results. The color is vibrant and long lasting, as promised. The lipstick stayed colorful and at least...
Pros: Very smooth and silky when applying Cons: Melts If Left in the heat!
I have never been one to wear Lipstick.. In the past most Lipsticks just felt to tight and wore off leaving a ring around my whole mouth. I tried the Revlon's Colorstay Lipcolor And fell in LOVE! It went on very smooth and stayed on for many hours,...
Pros: Great colors, inexpensive Cons: Dry, cakes in about 20 minutes
Well in my experience i love cake, just not when it is dried on my face, which is how i felt after about 20 minutes of wearing this lipstick. I have to admit, i was tempted to but this product because of is supposed Staying power, which is true, the...
Pros: Color stays for hours and does not kiss off Cons: Price
In my bathroom I have about 30 different lipsticks, which I rarely ever wear due to the fact that my husband HATES lipstick and will not kiss me if I am wearing it. I searched high and low for the perfect one that would make both of us happy. Some dry...
I purchased this product because I had tried other lipliners and most of them smudged. Using this product has made my lipstick look better. Before it always looked like it was running, like not staying in place. What I had was lipstick run and now the...
Pros: stays for a long enough period of time Cons: can be clumpy when reapplied
I've been wearing the Hazelnut color for about two and a half years now. The good thing is that the color has stayed consistent in that time. Whenever it's time for a new tube, I never know if it's going to be the same shade it was before. I can only...
Not perfect, but the best long lasting out there by buzziebea ,Mar 26 '04
Pros: Goes on smooth, Lasts a Long time, Not as Dry as other Lipsticks. Cons: Can be a little dry, only matte finish
The Revlon Colorstay Lipcolor "feels comfortable and lasts hour after hour." Its a long slender lipstick that comes in a box. There a a variety of colors and I have Mauve, Berry and Wine. Please visit www.revlon.com for more color selections.
I find the Revlon Colorstay Lipcolor to be the best of all long lasting lipcolors. It goes on well, lasts for a long time and doesn't make my lips as dry as some of the other long lasting lipsticks. It also comes off fairly easy when you want to take it off.
The cons are that is does feel somewhat dry. It does start to come off but I can blend the remaining color with my fingers and spread it around. This is IMPOSSIBLE with other long lasting lipsticks I have tried. The finish is only in matte. I have put lip gloss over the top of the Colorstay but then it turns into regular lipstick and comes off easy.
I buy mine at Walmart for ~$7.50. I like and use it often. I have 3 right now and will buy more. As I said it isn't perfect, but it is the best long lasting in my opinion.
