REBECCA, STOP SLEEPING WITH THE GOVERNOR, OR HE DIES!

by sunnydayM , Dec 02 '00
Pros: Immensely enjoyable
Cons: Smattering of words which some will find offensive
The suspense in this story reaches out and grabs you from the first page, and doesn't release you until the unexpected climax. The story takes so many twists and turns, it will leave you breathless.

Becca Matlock is enjoying success as the...

Riptide Has Too Much Under Toe!

by cmuir, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Dec 26 '07
Pros: I read it in one night.
Cons: The plot is too predictable.
I started reading Catherine Coulter's Riptide yesterday afternoon while waiting for the second surge of kids and grandkids. Needless to say I finished all 355 pages last night, it was one of those can't put it down books. Rebecca Matlock is a ...

Riptide.....Should Be Titled Rip OFF!"

by mariahan , Aug 15 '01
Pros: reasonably enjoyable and involving storyline, familiar characters
Cons: unrealistic dialogue and writing language, drags on at the end
It is very disappointing to discover that a favorite author is losing his/her steam, churning out books that just don't provide the reader with the level of enjoyment of previous novels.

This is the case with Catherine Coulter, author of...

Riptide

by Harriet , Jul 14 '00
Pros: A great work of romantic suspense
Cons: Too long between books
Riptide
Catherine Coulter
Putnam, July 2000

Some spies prefer to never come out of the cold, but thinking about secret agents would never enter the mind of speechwriter Rebecca Matlock. Espionage belongs in movies and books to...

Catherine Coulter Does It Again..

by justthere , Jul 24 '00
Pros: realistic characters, humor, great plot.
Cons: a little corny, a little dry, almost too many twists and turns in the plot.
...with her latest novel, "Riptide". Using her unique, almost British style of humor and wit, Catherine Coulter spins a quirky tale about political speech writer Rebecca Matlock. Becca's being stalked by someone...and no one knows who the...

Tide Ebbed – not Ripped

by minamarie , Sep 02 '01
Pros: Interesting characters.
Cons: Plot too loose and too many sub plots.
Catherine Coulter’s Riptide did not quite live up to its’ title although it still was representative of the genre Coulter writes. In other words, this was not her best book. The legacy series is better.

There were too many subplots and...

NOT CATHERINE COULTER BEST BUT NOT HER WORST

by Cutie_Squared , Mar 28 '01
Pros: Okay Story Line, Utterly speechless ending
Cons: TOO MUCH TO MENTION
I didn't really enjoy this book as much as I did with Catherine Coulter's historical romances. I don't know why but her modern day novels could use some work. In my opinion this book just doesn't rate up, I don't think it's worth the four hundred pages...

Can't Put It Down

by goal2 , Oct 24 '00
Pros: Great interesting story
Cons: Length of 400 pages may deter some readers
I just finished reading Catherine Coulter's Riptide and I have to highly recommend this book.

Ms. Coulter's writing style catches you from the very beginning and keeps you on edge until the climatic ending. She's very good at putting in...
