When I started in this new job 2 months ago, I got a brand-new Compaq PC. The employer had added a Sony CRX 140E ('Spressa') CD-RW recorder to it. While the brand Compaq doesn't tell me "quality", I expected that the Sony CD-RW recorder would be good....
Pros: Burns CDs just fine. Cons: Could be faster, but then it's not the newest burner on the block.
I've read the negative review by much-respected and trusted fellow Epinionator ptiemann on this same product, but have to disagree. I have the exact same drive in my Dell workstation, and have had no problems whatsoever.

Ive burned several discs. CD-R, CD-RW, anything. I have an old lot of 2x CD-RWs. This burner doenst mind burning it at 4x. Excellent. And never any errors.
