Pros: Excellent performance. Better geometry and sharpness than any aperture grill (Sony, Mits...) tube I saw. Cons: Check for good color/brightness uniformity.
Not a true flat screen.
I bought my CM813+ from the Hitachi online store, HiStore, as a "New/Discontinued" model for $569. It had a great picture at 1600x1200 to 1856x1392 (I use 1792x1344 at 80Hz), except for a darkness with red/green tints that covered parts of the RHS. It...

Hitachi SupeScan 813 Review
by jim813 ,Aug 09 '07
Pros: Picture and screen and resolution very good. Cons: Front panel control difficult to reset to orginal color without manual.
I have two Hitachi Superscan 813. Great resolution and picture frames. Great color and details. I do not have the manuals and find it difficult to restore the orginal color aspect, but I am still trying. The front controls are not user friendly without the manuals. But other than a green tinted screen on one of my computers the SuperScan 813 has function very well for the last 8 years.
