Pros: Great price and very fast. Accepts more memory than competetors. Cons: On-board sound not the best.
I have to say I am surprised more people haven't reviewed this motherboard as it seems to be a very popular upgrade board. A mainboard is best if you can't tell it is really there and it doesn't require any special setup. I learned my lesson a long time...
Pros: Easy setup, 4 slots for DDR RAM, VIA chipset, budget priced. Cons: Broke after 15 minutes of actual operation. Manual sucks. Product webpage is worse.
This review is going to be short, simply because I don't have this motherboard anymore and I only used it for 15 minutes before it fried itself.
I had read all about this board. It was highly rated and supposed to be ideal for gamers and...

Now's an excellent time to pick up this affordable VIA KT266A-based motherboard. You get a proven chipset in a fast, stable and reliable mobo for as little as $59. Handles cpus up to the Athlon XP 2200+ and excels at overclocking. Comes with 4 DIMM slots...
Pros: Great price. Good performance. Cons: Few Extras
I bought my Shuttle AK31 revision 3 motherboard from newegg.com for $80. What I got was a motherboard worth more than that. The AK31 can be used with an AMD Duron, Athlon, or AthlonXP. I installed my AthlonXP 1700+ without a hitch. It comes with the...
Pros: 4 Ram Slots, Jumperless board, Great Stability Cons: Fastest Ram usable is DDR PC2100
Very Stable board with more Ram slots than most in its class. This was the first Shuttle board I ever bought and it was a definite winner. In fact, I'm still using it today as I'm writing this review with it. It's not a flashy board, but it's very dependable. When this board was made, there were SEVERAL problems with MANY motherboard and graphics card manufacturers using DEFECTIVE capacitors that would either bulge or just burn out. This would cause items to fail or work erratically. My board never had this problem and apparently, this board seems to have been made with quality capacitors. Unlike the AK32 & AK32a models.
My first and only DIY(Do it yourself)PC,I have a T-bird 1.4Gz with 512 MB PC2100 DDR Ram, runs fantastic,supposed to be a good overclocker(I haven't tried that though).I play Quake 3 Arena,Team Arena,runs smooth as silk. I love it!
