Beautiful Monitor
by jacoro ,Aug 17 '05
Pros: 1600x1200, fast, high contrast, great color, solid picture Cons: 1st one purchased had stuck pixels
I tried several different flat panels before settling on the new 204T. This panel really surprised me with it's quality for being relatively affordable. I really wanted a display that could handle 1600x1200, and this is the first 20" I've seen that doesn't have noticeable ghosting. Colors are accurate and vibrant, dark blacks and bright whites. The image looks completely solid, you can't see any space between pixels or "screen door" effect. The only problem I had was a few dead pixels, but I exchanged it for another and it was perfect.

Samsung Syncmaster 204T Review
by golfmonke ,Jun 16 '06
Pros: Great monitor, clear display, no dead pixels, nice looking Cons: Non
I picked 2 up one of these off of http://www.cheapestauctions.com for $350/each about 2 weeks ago.
When it arrived I hooked it up immediately and it did not dissapoint!
These things are sweet! If you are going to purchase an LCD monitor make sure to step up to the 20" because the 19" will not do 1600 x 1200 resolution.
For you people saying that that is too small... Not on these 20" babies. I can sit 5 feet away and still read these very clearly.
Excellent monitors!
Highly recommend

Excellent monitor
by pixion ,Aug 29 '05
Pros: Sharp, great picture quality, reasonable priced. Cons: The 'Magic tune' applicaion takes 290MB to install.
Excellent monitor for mid-end to hi-end graphics (design, video editing, animation, games etc.). I noted a couple of broken (sub)pixels ( /-3) which only show up on close inspection and only on a white area.
At first I noted that the center of the screen was less sharp than the sides and corners. However, after playing around with the settings of my ASUS video card it turned out that the card probably had a frequency of 75Hz. After switching to the maximum frequency of 60Hz, the screen was sharp all over, also the viewing angle increased by this.
The refresh rate (response time 16ms) is fast enough for movies and 'scrubbing' for 3D animation.

Incredible monitor!!
by jgreenfi ,Oct 13 '05
Pros: Wide viewing angle; BRIGHT screen and equal brightness throughout; Magicbright software is a MUST!! Cons: Stand attach point on monitor is a little less sturdy than I would like.
I received the monitor a couple days ago and WOW what a difference... I am replacing a 21" CRT with this unit and the quality has been great... I am a network engineer for a company so I do a little bit of everything with it... I am currently using the analog inputs on it and I will be going to the DVI portion within the coming weeks... Make sure you use the settings that are called for in the manual... Ditto what other reviewers are saying about the refresh freq and resolutions.... Be sure your video subsystem is using 60hz....
No ghosting so far and no dead pixels... and a LOT less space taken up on the desk... :-)

Glad I bought monitor
by mender33 ,Oct 08 '07
Pros: DVI cable was supplied with monitor. Cons: DVI cable was only 6 ft. long ( wa wa)
A very, very nice monitor. Bright, sharp & great coloring. Signal supplied from ATI RADEON X700 card, in a Systemax Dual-Core AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400 system.
I use the DVI cable supplied with this monitor, for the best transfer.
It's about as big as I'd want to go.
I've had NO problems.

GREAT!
by pjpinel ,Aug 26 '06
Pros: Inexpensive, 1600 x 1200 resolution, great contrast, low power (cool). Cons: None, though some gamers claim they're not fast enough.
Replaced 100s of pounds of glass, (2 monitors) with these great cool, monitors. They take up little desktop. Setup, tilt, swivel, and rotate easily.
Recently saw them at Best Buy for ~$369. (In 2005 I paid $500 at Sam's.)
I use 2 side by side in their native 1600 x 1200 resolution (as I used CRT monitors before).

Very good one
by sls_sls ,Sep 21 '05
Pros: Size, quality, on-panel buttons & menu. Cons: Well, it's not a "slim panel" monitor. Rather thick and heavy.
I've got this monitor three weeks ago. My experience so far - 1 dead pixel, excellent colors (including black), very bright, contrast and sharp pictures. Use DVI video card for outstanding performance on native 1600*1200. It was too bright with my old analog video card, but after I got DVI card I was able to adjust brightness without sacrificing image quality using video driver settings.
