Pros: Great picture, small footprint, fast response, runs cool, easy installation. Cons: No DVI cable means the better ViewsonixVX924 may end up cheaper, buttons, color.
You will have heard all the main issues before, the fiddly buttons to adjust the screen, the lack of height adjustment, the lack of a DVI cable... etc etc. But the 930B is a great monitor at a great price. I got mine brand new for $290 from eBay. ...
Pros: Great mix of clear text, fast response time, large screen area, and high resolution.
Inexpensive. Cons: Dark rooms need manual adjustment.
Response time slow for serious gamers.
"Inexpensive" is not what I was expecting with a new flatscreen monitor. I'd had an NEC 18" at work for a few years, and a 21" Sony CRT at home. The old Sony finally decided to go, so I figured I'll spend less than $1000 to replace it and be happy. ...
Pros: Fast, very bright, a bargain at this price, great Samsung quality, DVI support. Cons: No DVI cable, controls/menu buttons are obscure, pedestal/base needs rubber stops.
Been using this 19" LCD flat panel monitor for about a month, in replacement for a 15" LCD Dell. What a difference it makes, I have so much desktop space now. Price was definitely one of the most attractive options. I wanted a cheap monitor, with ...
Pros: Exceptional Picture Quality, Low Price, High Tech Physical Appearance Cons: No DVI cable included
I purchased this Samsung LCD monitor a few months ago after rigorous research on several different 19" LCDs. My conclusion was that this monitor offered the best combination of picture quality and price. One problem I've noticed with a lot of LCD ...
Pros: No pixel defects, fast, cheap ($350 w/rebate), 3yr warranty Cons: No DVI cable (they cheaped out), Software sux, no height adjustment or pivot
Lots of excellent reviews here that are very good at conveying what the product has to offer so I'll just add a few comments. Regarding the software: Since this is my second Samsung SyncMaster (I bought a 191T+ a couple of years ago) I knew the ...
Pros: Great image quality, low $, nice looking Cons: No DVI cable, included software a bit buggy (not needed for DVI)
My Viewsonic 19" CRT was starting to die, every once in a while one of the color guns would cut out and I would have a very odd color shift until I whacked the side of the monitor. At work I got a 19" LCD monitor and I was impressed. I went to BestBuy ...
Pros: A dollar goes a long way with Samsung products Cons: Plain looks with lack of DVI cable and hard to read buttons
HISTORY: Three years have past since my last monitor purchase and review (see Samsung 955DF). Many changes have taken place such as the increase demand for LCDs and the increasing acceptance of Samsung as a brand that paves the way to leading edge ...
Pros: 1. 8ms response time
2. Super bright, crisp colors
3. DVI input on the monitor! Cons: 1. No DVI cable included
2. Quirky software - use manual adjustments
I bought the Samsung 930B about 2 weeks ago, and have been absolutely impressed with the response time, the color, the resolution, and many of the other features. I replaced a 17" Viewsonic flat panel that I have had for about 2 years or so. Nothing ...
Pros: Large, bright 19" screen, outstanding colors and detail, 8ms response time, $90 mail-in rebate. Cons: Only tilts, does NOT telescope up/down, adjustment buttons take a while to get used to.
Has worked flawlessly right out of the box. I bought this for my high end gaming system that I'm currently building. I was going to buy the Samsung 915n but decided not to. While the 915n does have a 8ms response time, it is lacking a DVI connection ...
Pros: Quality, size and a fair price Cons: I really can't think of any
I've been very pleased with Samsung monitors: When my daughter's old tube went out, I gave her my beloved Samsung 15" LCD display, and bought a 19" Samsung 930B for myself. This new screen is noticably brighter and with more contrast than my earlier ...
Pros: DVI input, high maximum brightness Cons: Bogus spec (response time, viewing angle, contrast ratio). No DVI cable
I got this one with a good mail-in rebate, so it was OK for the price. It had no dead pixels, which is good. But definitely not worth the full price. Of course, this is not the very worst monitor that exists. But if you are trying to buy something of ...
Pros: Bright, sharp, rich colors. Fast, easy setup, Inexpensive, great warranty, very respected manufacturer. Cons: Setup instructions were very small, unnoticeable.
Great picture, perfect out of the box, easy to setup, worked without installing anything, although I did install the software later and it went smoothly. It has a magic tune button that recentered the image on the screen so I didn't have to sit there ...
Pros: Great bang for the buck. No dead pixels. Cons: Cheap plastic cable cover on back.
Picked up one of these at about the lowest price listed, including shipping. No dead pixels. Bright and crisp at the native 1280 x1024. As with all flat panels, the native resolution is by far the best. No ghosting on gaming. There is a plastic panel on the back to cover the cable connections that loves to pop off. I was looking for a great, cheap monitor and I found it. I don't really care about how hard it is to find the buttons (no problem for me) or if the monitor stand has no vertical height adjustment (could care less). This puppy just delivers a great picture for a couple of clams. I will spend 50 bucks of my time to save $5 -- just like you or you wouldn't be dredging through this review. I've been thrilled with this monitor that has allowed me to reclaim my desk from my hulking 19-incher.
Pros: Great color, resolution, contrast & brightness. no need for DVI video card. Cons: Very minor conflict between Samsung and ATI video drivers.
This 19" monitor is about as close to perfection as anyone could ask.
Colors are vivid, brightness is more than adequate, low glare off screen and the visual resolution is amazing.
Had it up and running with an ATI SVGA card at full 1280 x 1024 in minutes.
Still great after almost a year. by mcfranson ,Jan 30 '07
Pros: Price, weight and controls. Cons: No DVI cable.
I wanted to share my experience on this monitor. I bought it in March 2006 from CC and it is great. Was easy to install. It replaced a 17" KDS VS-190 CRT that still works. The auto-adjust is a great feature to have.
