AC Adapter went Bad TWICE in a Year

Cons: Bad AC adapter and Customer Service
I bought this model over a year ago for my summer house.  The unit sits on top of my refrigerator and doesn't move.  The adapter stopped working about towards the end of the summer so I had to dish out $30 bucks for a replacement.  We went to use it this summer and the new unit is not working again.  Call customer support and they said they couldn't help me and that I would have to buy another adapter.  Seems like this is how they pad their profit margins by using inferior accessories that have to be replaced when the unit is out of warranty.  Buy a more dependable brand.
