Pros: great sound quality, works with all iPods*, Gradual Wake, well-lit display Cons: doesn't charge Shuffle, no preset radio stations or scan button
My husband and I generally dont exchange presents at Christmas, but when we do, its usually something we both will use. So this past year, after months of hearing me yell at him to wake up in the morning (after 5-10 minutes straight of alarm ...
Pros: Compact, great sound quality Cons: Awkward controls, remote is near useless, makes streaks on iPod
Several months ago, a friend came over to our house and commented on our “old school” stereo. It was a 5-CD changer with dual tape deck and a nice set of speakers that served me quite well through many dorm parties (hence the beer stains). ...
Pros: Fits easily on nightstand. Functions as a stand and a charger. Very legible display. Cons: Not as much bass as costlier systems such as the Bose or Cerwin Vega.
Bought this IHome speaker system for my son. He owns a 20GB IPod. He loves it. Sound quality is impressive for its size. I can actually hear it from downstairs. It can get quite loud without distorting. It also functions as a stand for the IPod and ...
Pros: sleek classic design, nice sound, easy to use, variety of options Cons: the remote usually sold separately, lack of proper inserts,
I first saw this product when my dad and I went to Costco to do some christmas shopping. We noticed it because they had one out on display, prominently featuring that all ipods could dock with the clock radio. Since they already had got me the ipod ...
Pros: Sound quality, ease of use, remote included, ease of docking Cons: No second alarm, can be addictive to play with.
I like this iPod docking station/charger, alarm clock, radio, mid-fi sound system. Its nicely made, matches my black iPod well, and looks great on the nightstand. It even comes with a remote that has a range of about 10 feet. The unit is easy to ...
Pros: Good sound. Compact size. Convenient remote control. Charges the iPod battery. Cons: No radio presets.
Unlike the other reviewers here, I didn't buy the IH5 to be a clock radio (although I may end up buying another to use in that capacity.) I bought it to be a small desktop amplifier for use in my office. I use it to play my iPod and AM radio at ...
Pros: great sound, well built, design, features, backlit buttons, metal speaker covers Cons: none
great sound at this price point, well built, great industrial design and features, backlit buttons, adaptors for all iPod models, iPod charging, output capability to stereo system, metal speaker covers protect the cones from my 4 year old daughter's ...
Pros: Easy setup, sleek appearance, clock and alarm settings, alternate iPod model inserts Cons: Does not charge iPod Shuffle
Whenever I am at home I always have wanted something to play my iPod out loud. The earpieces on the iPods are fine, but when I can jam out in my own space I would rather not be attached to a cord when listening to my music in my 20 GB 3Gen iPod. A few ...
Pros: Surprisingly good sound quality and volume Cons: Not compatible with 30G video ipod.
No volume control for alarm (radio or ipod)
It's clearly not designed for a 30G video Ipod. This may have been fixed in more recent models (I bought mine last year shortly after the video ipods came out) - If you're thinking about it, certainly check! Specifically: - the dock doesn't quite ...
Pros: Fits all iPods. AM/FM radio. Large backlit LCD display with several brightness settings. Superb sound. Cons: iPod Nano owners must purchase additional cradle until new packages enter supply line.
I write reviews for MacNN.com, and had requested an iHome to review. None ever materialized. So my wife bought me one for Christmas 2005. It is the best gift I have received in years! The iHome iPod Docking Station is elegant & well designed. The ...
Pros: great for relaxing Cons: only for ipod(can buy wire for mp3)
The ihome is great speaker system for your ipod. Its great for relaxing at home or on the beach. (too bad it ant wireless). Just sit back put on your favorite radio station or song. put on a playlist whatever you want sit back and control it from a ...
Pros: Cheap, great sound quality Cons: Haven't experienced one problem yet!!
I purchased iHome looking for a new radio. This piece is small and can fit on my night desk. Aside from being a radio, you can also attach your iPod to it. So if you don't feel like listening to the radio, you can listen to your iPod without having to ...
Pros: charges your ipod, radio, remote, great sound quality and it's sleek design. Cons: most of the features it has you can already do with your ipod alone.
The ihome is a really good product. The sound quality is really clear; this is because it has sound chamber technology. It can get pretty loud but not as much as I thought. I really like the style of it, it's sleek and smooth, and it matches your ipod's ...
I own 4 of these iH5's! by pinionated1 ,Apr 20 '07
Pros: Great sound; easy to operate; nice looking; easy to read numerals. Cons: Not able to preset radio stations.
Today I purchased my 4th iHome iH5 for use in my 2 iPod home. I want one in every room! The sound is fabulous. The digital read-out is easy for me to see in the middle of the night without my glasses. The correct buttons are easy to find in the dark if I want to change any settings. My favorite features are that I can go to sleep to a preset low volume while listening to my iPod and wake to my favorite, preset, higher volume newsradio station. The sleep volume gradually gets softer. The wake volume gradually gets louder. The only thing it's missing is the ability to preset radio stations, but the tuner is so easy to rotate, and it moves so quickly that this isn't a major problem.
Pros: good low cost amplifier and changer, Ok sound Cons: none for the price
This is an ideal inexpensive ($79- retail) charger/speakers for the iPod. Plays each model except for the old shuffle. For me the main feature was the remote. I need to be able to control the volume on my music easily from across the room.
As a "bonus" it is a nice alarm clock.
No, it is not as richly sounding as a model costing 2-3 times as much.
Another bonus: the remote also works as the "snooze" button and can also dim the backlighting on the display for sleeping. This is really a nice touch.
