Pros: Great DVD burner, 802.11g card, 1.6 Ghz Centrino
Cons: Don't forget to bring the power cord...battery life is subpar

If you're looking for a mid-range notebook that has an abundance of features without spending $2,000+...this is the perfect machine. The X BRITE display is crisp and stunning. When it comes to writing DVDs, the FS640 has every feature one would need. It supports both + and - formats and can even write dual-layer discs. The video memory is shared, but with 128 MB available, it will provide adequate resources for multimedia-intensive applications. However, you'll need to make sure an outlet is nearby if you're venturing away from the home or office. Battery life on this unit is below-average for a Centrino, usually giving out after just 2 1/2 hours of use.

It is a perfect Multimedia Laptop, with amazing resolution
a wide screen display gives a theatre experience on a 15" display, it had a dual layer DVD writer(8.5gb), writes pretty fast
the resolution and picture quality is good to watch a movie or edit a movie, sleek and wide, it has a memory card reader.
The problem i felt was

1. tv output, you need to have tv convertor to watch the dvd in big screen and to play games

2. the sound output is very low , need to have external speakers
