Limited use, but beneficial
by xaos21 ,Jun 09 '06
Pros: small - doesn't take up a lot of space, benefit to core strengthening and balance Cons: only used it in one particular exercize, so my use is limited
After 2 years in physical therapy for lower back problems, the workouts i used were core strengthening workouts. One of these workouts included an Xerdisc. It consisted of standing on the exerdisc while using a Bodyblade. This worked on my balance and strengthened my core. This workout along with other exercizes (not including the xerdisc) has shown a huge improvement in my back problems. My core is much stronger and the spasms have gone away and it's much more difficult for me to torque my back. In the past, all it took was bending down to pick something up off the floor or getting out of bed. I don't personally use the xerdisc for any other exercises aside from the one i mentioned above, so i don't doubt it has other benefits, but i would recommend it for anyone even with my limited experience.
