Pros: Controls, Controls, and more Controls Cons: Very steep learning curve
Blurring the lines between being one of the most difficult games to control to being one of the most satisfying is SSX Blur. SSX Blur comes on strong on the Nintendo Wii to bring on an experience like no other. Background I have only briefly ...
Pros: A lot of fun... Cons: ...if you can stick out the steeeeeep learning curve.
Take a look at all the board games out there: there's the ever strong Tony Hawk series, the original SSX games, and a few others. But really, the games that have dominated have been SSX and Tony Hawk. They've lasted the generations, they keep getting ...
Pros: It's an SSX game. Cons: Bad controls, cartoon characters, bad music, bad interface.
I'm a total SSX bigot. I love the games with their over-the-top tricks and great characters. I can even forgive SSX On Tour for reversing half the controls and putting a crappy soundtrack in the game. So when I heard about a new game in the franchise - ...
Pros: Great control. Good graphics. Innovative soundtrack. Longevity Cons: Fiendishly difficult. Less character customization than before.
SSX Blur is the fifth incarnation of the classic snowboarding series from Electronic Arts (EA). Previous versions on other consoles such as the PS2 and Xbox were huge successes thanks to their extravagant graphics, pulsating soundtrack, vast array of ...
Pros: Graphics are decent and the concept is nice Cons: Concept does not play out, awkward controls, lack of clear objectives
I rented this a few weeks ago and just played it yesterday. It turned out to be such a disappointment. Partially because I had been hanging onto it so long before getting a chance to play and then did not enjoy playing it. The main thing that I did not ...
Pros: Fun! Good gameplay, fully integrated Wii-remote. Cheap. Cons: instructions and some functionality is very hard to figure out without someone showing you.
This game is cheap clean fun! Really integrates the Wii-mote and nunchucks into game play.
Plot is pretty simple, have fun going down a snow covered hill. You can play as over 10 characters (I believe 7 are initially unlocked) and can use both snowboard or skis. For tracks you go down a bunch of courses and half pikes. Jump or grind your way to mad points. I've played for days and still can't master the special 'uber' tricks but it's still fun anyways. In head to head action of 2 players it's still fun when playing with others of different skill levels. Just add a trick point handicap.
All buttons are pretty much used so there is a real learning curve to get everything down. Tutorial will be a must to get very far in this game.
