Pros: Fabulous coffee, minimum fuss, easy to clean Cons: Cost if you don't drink a lot of coffee
My husband and I purchased this machine 14 months ago as a gift to ourselves and it has reaped benefits galore. We love it. We find this particular model easy to use, easy to learn and it tells you exactly what's wrong with it and what to do and when! ...
Pros: Easy touch screen operation, frothing wand, dual spouts, sleek look, degrader notices are very helpful! Cons: Expensive
Our first experience with Saeco Incanto Sirius was in our cabin aboard a cruise ship. I was shown by our butler how to use the machine for both ground coffee and fresh beans from the hopper. We were instantly taken with this technological advancement in ...
Pros: Quiet, easy to use and makes a great cup of coffee! Cons: Price
This is not my first Saeco Espresso Machine. I started with the Vienna which is a basic no frills machine, which sounds like several of the reviewers needed to actually have instead of this one. I will admit that this has more programmable features ...
Pros: Makes very good coffee.
Electronic controls easy to use.
Bypass port for decaf
Cons: Service from licensed 3rd party repair shop was an issue for me
I'm updating my review since Saeco Canada repaired the machine and had it returned to me within one week, which I would rate as excellent service. My original problems were caused by a licensed 3rd party repair shop, that were incompetent. Now ...
Great machine... When it works. by jkwoodard ,Feb 03 '08
Pros: Makes a tasty cup of coffee Cons: Doesn't work most of the time. Expensive.
This machine makes a great shot of espresso. It is very easy to use, and the everyday maintenance is simple... when it decides to cooperate. At least 50% of the time, the words "Ventilate" blink on the LCD telling you that it doesn't have enough water inside. The process to prime it is very simple, all you do is twist the knob that you use to make steam. Another problem, that doesn't work either.
If you are buying this machine so that you can have a great cup of coffee without having to spend 5 bucks at Starbucks, skip this one.

Pros: Striking physical appearance, pretty good espresso drinks. Cons: unpredictable steam/water wand, unhelpful manual, no help line, expensive.
My husband and I purchased the Saeco Incanto Sirius as an indulgent Christmas gift to ourselves. We were tired of spending so much at the coffee shops and having nothing to show for. We decided this machine would pay for itself after a couple of months. Instead, we found a machine that had so many technical problems. The steam/water wand didn't work half the time. The steam/water spout constantly needed to ventilate which subsequently purged 1/2 the reserved water and needed to constantly be refilled. Then, sometimes the steam/water wand just stopped working. Also, the 1-800 help line was useless. When they did answer calls, which was rare, they were NOT helpful. Instead, they were in a hurry to get off the phone. I will not purchase anything from Saeco again.
Pros: When it's not leaking, it makes good coffee and it has a very nice appearance Cons: Unit leaks and SAECO support is a nightmare.
In less than a year, we had three serious problems with this unit. The most recent of which was a serious leaking of water. It is still under warranty, but SAECO has been so difficult to deal with and to contact, that we will probably end up throwing our $1400 investment in the trash.
Pros: Ease of use, clear instructions, consistently brews great espresso. Cons: Wisn the water reservoir was larger.
My husband and I bought the Saeco Incanto Sirius through Costco for Christmas. It has been wonderful - we have made over 400 coffee/espressos since December 24th and the machine has performed flawlessly. The quality of the coffee is wonderful. It is extremely easy to tailor each cup to your particular taste. You can choose between one, two or three bean grinds for each cup that you brew and even adjust the rate of water flow for a richer, darker brew. At the touch of a button you can pick small, medium or large cups to be brewed. Twist a knob and you have steam or hot water. WE LOVE THIS MACHINE. The only downside is having to refill the water frequently. When the machine arrived the plastic cover to the top of the compartment that holds the coffee beans was cracked. We called Saeco and they immediately sent us out a whole new top. Excellent service. This machine was worth every cent.
