Pros: When it was working it was good --- it was very very good.
Cons: Check before you buy warranty and return policy. Instruction manual basic and not always clear.
Summary: We have had lots of $200 machines --- nothing flashy but the espresso was always good and the machines would last daily use 1 and 2 years. Last August, we thought we'd spoil ourselves with this one. The Saeco Talea Giro Espresso Machine ground ... read more

Pros: Cheap online... Try costco. Solid quality. Easy to use. Makes great drinks.
Cons: I wish the water tank was a bit larger capacity.
Summary: I researched super automatics for quite some time before purchasing this model from Saeco. Pronounced 'sai-eh-co'link: http://www.forvo.com/word/saec

Pros: When it works it does make an excellent cup of expresso.
Cons: It has functioned poorly or not at all from the day we purchased it.
Summary: We have had nothing but trouble with this machine since its purchase less than one year ago. The noise from the grinder is deafening, but that has been the least of the problems. It worked poorly from the beginning, requiring constant rebooting in order ... read more

Pros: Great taste, ease of use. Big variety of coffees and teas to choose from.
Cons: T-Discs pricey and not easily recycled. Opt for the more expensive 1400 machine.
Summary: Easy to use and great taste - especially the espresso and cappuccino varieties. The new Starbucks coffees are a great addition as well. We own two machines: we like the more expensive 1400 model way better than the cheaper 1200 model. Spend the ... read more

Pros: I can think of no pros. Our experience has been completely negative.
Cons: Simply stated, this piece of technology has nothing but "cons" based on our experience.
Summary: We purchased a Saeco Talea Giro Plus 18 months ago and it has been a total disaster from the beginning. It required four major repairs while under the one year warantee. As each repair took several weeks, this meant that we were able to use the ... read more

A little complicated at the beginning but gets easie each day.
Cons: Steam wand a little difficult to take apart for cleaning.
Summary: I've been wanting an automatic espresso machine for a while. I just got the Saeco Odea Giro. It makes great cappucino and espresso. It took a little time to get used to it. It will stop working for several reasons, mainly if it is ... read more

Pros: Easy to adjust the strength of your coffee, and it's easy to use.
Cons: You can't use the milk island at the same time as brewing the coffee.
Summary: We have had this machine for 6 weeks now and are really happy with our purchase. We really shopped around for months before hand and were hesitant when we first paid for it as our previous machine (another brand) we paid $1,900 for and it was terrible - ... read more

Pros: Nice looking, easy to use.
Cons: Weak brew. Brew is warm not hot.
Summary: Very nice and futuristic looking, easy enough to use, and is able to grind whole beans, but you're paying a premium for that. Housing is mostly plastic and not stainless steel or nickel. The 2 biggest issues I have is the temperature of the coffee is at ... read more

Pros: Works good for first 90 days
Cons: Work bad after 90 days. $25 to ship for repairs
Summary: Paid a good price if it was a good machine. For $600 you would expect it to last more than 90 days. One day it decided to blow water out the steam wand when ever the machine was on. Saeco says its under warranty but I have to pay for shipping($25) on ... read more
