Pros: Sturdy, easy to put away or travel with Cons: a little leaky
The Safety 1st baby tub is a collapsible hard plastic baby tub lined with mildew resistant padding. If you are looking for something small that you can put away or travel with then I think this tub could be right for you. The head and foot area of ...
Pros: Folds easily for compact storage. Better than leaning over a tub. Cons: Slippery padded surface, baby outgrows unit quickly.
I received this bathtub as a gift and think that while it isn't bad, it could use some improvement. The bathtub is comprised of three pieces, which all come assembled. Two of the pieces are "flaps" which fold into the main basin of the tub. The main ...
Pros: Portable, can sort of use on countertops, solid construction. Cons: Too small, poor drainage design.
Bath time is one of the few times our baby is always totally calm. The warm water probably reminds him of still being in the womb. I registered the Safety 1st portable bath tub for my wife's surprise baby shower. Being our first baby, I had no previous ...
Pros: Cheap price, quality product, folds up to store anywhere. Our daughter's safe in this tub. Cons: No cons for us, we love it.
My husband and I looked for bath tubs and must have looked at twenty or thirty. We were concerned about our daughter's safety but didn't want to spend thirty dollars on a tub with gadgets. I mean it's just a bath and our daughter is still little ...
Pros: Slip resistant and folds up for easy storage. Cons: none
I registered for this for 2 reasons. I know Safety 1st has a good reputation and also because I live in a small apartment and I liked the idea of the bath folding up when it is time to store it.
Pros: Great for small spaces Cons: Draining the water can be annoying
I received this tub as a gift at my baby shower. At first I didn't buy into its looks and function. I didn't think it would work as well as I thought it would. But I figured, what the heck, it was a gift.
Pros: easy to store, folds up nice and compact, lots of room for baby Cons: doesn't provide enough back support, leaks at the catches when being moved around
I like this bathtub because we have a small bathroom however because of my back I need to put her bathtub on a higher surface/counter top to bathe her. Even with a minimal amount of water it leaks where the catches are. This is more of a minor...
Pros: Folds up for storage
No bending over the big tub Cons: doesnt drain completely
We have used the safety first fold up tub for both of our daughters. It is very convenient for when they are little to be able to stand at the sink or counter and bathe them and not have to bend over into the bathtub. The tub does not drain as well as i would like-i usually have to turn it over and shake it to get all the water out.
Gets the job done, but not without a mess by jennlzoll ,Jun 14 '07
Pros: Fold up feature is nice Cons: Leaky, leaky, leaky
I love the idea, but the design just doesn't work. The tub does fold up nice, making it a great space saver. However, don't plan to use it without a mess to clean up afterward. Naturally, a wiggly baby is going to make a few waves in the tub, but with this tub, even the smallest of waves causes water to slosh up and leak out of the hinge sites on the lower half of the tub. I can barely put any water in it at all, and still end up putting a towel underneath to catch the water. A little bit of redesigning on the part of Safety 1st would make this an awesome little product, but as it is now, I wish I had bought something different.
Pros: none Cons: too small, hard to fit on bathtub, does not hold much water
I found this tub very difficult to manage and uncomfortable for my baby. It may be good for the first several weeks, but I wouldn't know since my baby hated baths at the beginning (because of the tub?) so we were topping and tailing more than anything. Then when we wanted to start using the tub we found it did not fit sideways on the bathtub as promised. You can't use it outside of the tub because it is so shallow (it doesn't really hold much water)and water gets all over the floor. After using it I wanted to find one of those traditional big tubs that you just sit on the bathroom floor, with no gadgets, fold-ups or anything. The travel aspect of this tub seems attractive, but let's fact it in reality when you travel you don't need to bring tub! You just improvise and bring the baby into the bath or shower with you. So I don't see the draw of this tub, unless of course it happens to fit across your bathtub which would make handling the baby easier (not so much bending over).
Pros: folds compactly, water drains out the folded seams before it would overflow (not by design) Cons: too small for kitchen, too big for bathroom, outgrew it at 4mo/10lbs, not enough water
The reason I got this tub is because it folded compactly thinking that any ability to save space was a good thing....little did I know that the folding quality would be the source of all of my cons. When open, the sides do not hold any weight, so when in the kitchen sink, the tub had to have it's bottom on the bottom of the sink....that was only possible if the top and bottom were not all the way open. This set up made it largely frustrating to give my baby a bath. I ended up buying another baby tub without the folding feature which is 100 times better.
Because of the bucket seat depth was so shallow my baby therefore slipped from side to side, I never felt as though he was safe.
Pros: Fold up design is great. Great for travel. Cons: Hard to drain, did not fit inside sink, doesn't hold much water.
I like the fold up design because storage is always an issue in our house. But I couldn't use this baby tub very long. It would not fit in the sink part (we live in a mobile home and the sinks are a tab bit smaller). We had trouble emptying the tub after use. It did not hold much water either. It was a nice short term tub that folded up. You can take it with you!!
Pros: Folds up, transportable Cons: leaks, slippery, hard plastic
I purchased this bath tub at Walmart in Canada. Immediately I discovered issues with the first use. Where the bottom folds up there there are small spaces on each side that allow for water to leak. I found this very frustrating and messy if the bath tub was not used in a adult bath tub. If you use it on any carpeted floor, you will encounter a large puddle of water.
I also discovered that the sides are not padded in anyway. Purely hard plastic and both my babies when bathed in this tub, before they each had adequate head control or sitting up abilities, would slide and bang their head on the hard plastic.
The "non slip" mat inside the tub is not so "non slip" the babies were constantly slipping and sliding.
We tried this bathtub with our second baby. We used it twice before throwing it out and purchasing another one. This tub leaked horribly and made a mess since I had set it up on the kitchen counter. It doesn't hold much water to begin with either. I do not recommend this bathtub at all, highly dissatisfied

Pros: Holds small babies well. Cons: Poor Draining, shelf is in the way.
When my husband and I brought our first baby home from the hospital we were a little less than sure about exactly how to care for him. When we pulled out this bathtub we were even more confused! The bathtub fits small babys pretty well, but our son still slipped around inside the tub if we were not "holding" him while he was laying there. This particular tub provides a kind of shelf at the end to hold a washcloth or soap, but as soon as our son got big enough to support himself enough to sit up in the tub, he was to long and the little shelf really bothered him. In addittion to the shelf problems, the tub leaked quite a bit, and you had to kind of tilt it on its side to get all the water to drain from the interior. If you are going to buy your new baby a new tub, and are looking for ease of operation, this tub is NOT for you.
