Going Mobile: The Frustrations of Sagem

by beckytcy Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Mar 16 '02
Pros: cheap, small, light
Cons: odd menus, hard to text, bad customer service
Preparing to come to England for a semester, I came across an ad in my home university's student newspaper that a girl was selling a British cell phone (European phones don't work in the US and vice versa), so I figured I'd be really smart and save tons...

Sagem MC920

by rangelife , Dec 27 '00
Pros: price, signal, battery life, loud rings
Cons: cheap feel, slow text entry, crazy menus
This was one of the cheapest pre-pay Vodafone phones (40 GBP), but was strangely locked to use only the supplied SIM card so I lost all my credits on my old one. I have subsequently found a hidden menu that lets you disable this "feature" but...

Looks can be deceiving

by britbird , Dec 18 '01
Pros: Umm, let me get back to you on that one
Cons: How long have you got?
I’ve had my Sagem MC920 for almost 10 months. My first impression was a bargain price and a fairly stylish handset. But now I can honestly say it’s the most inconvenient and unintuitive mobile I’ve ever owned.
I get really annoyed with it. The...

Sagem MC 920

by chiara87 , Mar 20 '04
Pros: Nice shape, lovely color (green).
Cons: It breaks every other day, horrible menus, I couldn't send an SMS with this phone.
When I saw the Sagum Mc 920, I was in love. I really loved the way it looked (I'm talking about the green one). After months of pleading to my parent, I got it! I was so happy, I could play with it all day. Then, after two days it fell off the table ...

Not bad for the price

by doug_newt , Mar 15 '01
Pros: Cheap, light, battery.

I bought this phone as part of a prepaid package at a low price. It is my first mobile phone, but i have used other in the past. I found it hard to use to start with but now I understand the system and use it rather easily.

by Hendi25 , Dec 13 '00
Pros: You can change the cover to soot your mood
Cons: You cant get any ringtone's for it, yet
I bought this product because it was within my price range (Not that much) and it looked more stylish than the other phone that i was thinking about buying.

Not a bad choice if all you need is an easy phone for talking.

by zizzman , Jul 23 '01
Pros: Cheap. Compact. Good reception. Speaker Phone.
Cons: "Auto-keylock" function will block date/time display. Clock reset in case battery drained.
This is a simple, light weight & small handset with powerful reception (yet no idea how high the RF level could be ^_^ ). Regarding the outlook, silver-paint-coated cover looks more fashionable than the one featured here.

Sagem probably puts...
