Digital not optical zoom works only on snap shots. This must be the worst video image I ever saw. There is no support on sakar web site for camera I could find. It eats batteries.The poor quality video can not be enhanced as the snap shot can. The zoom does not work on video mode. I find it hard to identify subjects photographed in video mode. The low frame rate makes for very jumpy video. The layout of buttons make it hard to operate. The viewfinder fails when attached to a monitor. The only use I can find for this camera is to record low quality voice.Using the highest settings it may take an acceptable small snap shot if you do not enlarge it above 2 inches square.
