An Ok Carver, but great for the pipe

by RONinPC Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Dec 24 '99
Pros: Does its job well
Cons: don't push the speed envelope
I spent the afternoon on the ten eighty today, comparing it to the Atomic 911 and Salomons own Axe Cleaver.

It was fun and able to carve right up to the point that I started to get a hand to the ground, but then boot out took me right off of...

The Revolution Ski

by ctlax9 , Sep 22 '01
Pros: The Salomon 1080 is allows great park and all-mountian skiing.
Cons: From what I have seen there are none.
Around the world skiers have been switching to snowboarding to hit terrain parks and get air. The evolution of snow sports was seeing the masses divide choosing either to snowboard and hit the parks, or ski and get the powder. Salomon however changed...

Cheap ski = cheap construction
by culater2k4 ,Mar 18 '05
Pros: Cheap, light
Cons: weak edges, foam core, bad warranty
I purchased 03/04 teneighties in March of 04. I managed to blow an edge out after 9 days. For some stupid reason, I purchased a pair of 04/05's while the other ones were in warranty. Big mistake! Salomon didn't warranty my original pair. Even worse, the new pair flexed out in a matter of 20-30 days. The foam core Salomon uses breaks down rather quickly. It was a fun ski those first 15-20 days, but turned into the biggest noodles.
