Pros: Incredibly easy to use. There's no mystery to making yogurt at home! Cons: None... the model has been brought back by Salton... yay!
Yogurt has been around probably a few thousand years, and depending on the map location, sheep’s and goat’s milk are favored, especially in Mediterranean countries. However, in north-central Europe and the U.S. all yogurts are made from ...

The Salton Yogurt machine is a great little investment for yogurt lovers. I was tired of paying the high price for store-bought yogurt and I don't always like the flavors that I have to choose from. So, one morning about two months ago, I ordered this ...
Pros: Easy to use, easy to clean, inexpensive! Cons: None.
Perhaps, as another reviewer has stated, you don't really *need* a yogurt maker. You CAN make yogurt using various homemade devices. However, why go to all the bother when you can use this? It's cheap, and easy to use. I used to make my own yogurt using ...

This is a great product thats reasonable priced and is for the most part fool proof. You simply simmer 3 ingredients, mix 1/2 a cup of yogurt into it. Just pour the solution into the maker, and plug it in for 4-6 hours and you have 1 quart of home made yogurt. Its that simple. Save you money and buy the Salton Yogurt Maker.
No frills yogurt, not bad for the price. by doggrrl ,Nov 12 '06
Pros: Cheap and easy to use. Cons: Storage is a pain with the dome top.
I have the Salton YM9 for over a year now and it's a great no frills buy. You still need a candy thermometer, pan and stove to prep the milk, so don't think this unit is an all in one. That said, it's a simple easy way to make yogurt.
Pros: Super easy, almost no fail Cons: Needs a timer and buzzer
So my boyfriend bought this for me last valentines day when I found out I had celiac disease and would have to start making my own yogurt. I had never made yogurt before but every batch came out perfect. The longer I kept it in the maker the tangier the yogurt became. I bought the yogurt cheese maker and have used it to make homemade fat free cream cheese. I really like this thing. I don't find it difficult to clean as another review mentioned. I mean it is only a single container... anyhow... made perfect yogurt every time.
