I encountered a really disturbing problem with my Sam's Credit Account. I decided to sign up for their e-bill service and did not receive any bills by email. Sixty days later I receive an account closed/collection bill in the mail. After numerous attempts to resolve the issue by phone and mail I have been forced to consider legal action to get this resolved. It is very unfortunate as I have been a loyal Sam's Club member for over 8 years and this third party credit company has damaged that relationship.

This experience has not only been painful but I now have negative credit information reported on three of the credit agencies on a small retail credit account. Considering I have a 700+ credit score this really hurts.

Try to explain this experience with your mortgage banker!

Just got my latest statement and noticed they moved the grace period from 25 to 20 days and the payment date was moved up by 5 days from the 19th to the 14th of the month! Never got a an advance notice for this!

I had a Sams Club discover since 2003. At first it had a $5,000.00 Credit limit at about 15% interest, which is terrible. I used it a few times, but paid it off quickly. Then I noticed that the interest rate went up to 19%, so I used it sparingly, and paid it off quickly. Today I received a letter stating that they were lowering my credit limit down to $300.00, why? Not because I have been late on any of my bills, because I haven't, but because I use other cards more than I use this one. Needless to say, I just closed it. A credit line of $300.00 is useless to me. The highest interest rate on my other cards is 9.99%, why would I pay 19%?

I got the Sam's Discover card because the store didn't take anything else at the time and the system wouldn't accept my debit card. I have charged products 2 different times, and both times I was turned over to a collection agency without ever having received an invoice from GE Card Services (they administer the credit card). So, now, over a $22 bill that I never got a statement for, my credit report has been dinged because they closed my account for non-payment. Do you believe this crap? When it happened the first time, the Sam's people called and when I told them I hadn't received a statement, the woman said she wasn't surprised because it was happening a lot. I cleared up the debt and was foolish enough to use the card again -- for a grand total of $22. I would never recommend this company, GE Card services, or anything even loosely affiliated with these people.
