Pros: HDMI, 1080i, HIGH DETAIL PICTURE, LOW COST TO OWN, JUST ALOT FOR THE MONEY! Cons: NONE! Run Get One!
Summary: Samsung's newest entry into the UPconvert/ Scaling DVD player field, is not only priced right, it's also their best player to date. Designed to replace the DVD-HD841, which itself was a very good solid unit. I've been anxious to try this player owning ... read more

Pros: Upconversion Cons: Playing delays
Summary: I purchased this dvd player to go with the Samsung 50" DLP I purchased. While I've found the DLP TV to be up to par, I have found this dvd player isn't. The main selling point was that this is an up conversion dvd player, meaning that using the ... read more

Pros: Good picture and sound. Sleek looking Cons: Delay on tray opening.
Horrible FF and REV functions!
Summary: OK. So the picture is great and the sound is great. But that should be a given for any DVD player - let alone an up-conversion model. I had a economy JVC DVD player and when I bought a 50" Samsung DLP I figured it was time to upgrade my DVD. I went to ... read more

Pros: HDMI Cable Included, Nice remote, fast! Cons: Dark Pictures, only digital for surround, no DivX
Summary: I picked this up to go with my new Samsung HLR-4264W DLP TV and was fairly impressed by the results. Picture and speed of the DVD player were very nice through the HDMI cable but the up-conversion aspect of the player was a little underwhelming. Don’t ... read more

Pros: Picture quality, upconversion, HDMI and Digital Optical outputs, slick silver finish Cons: Fast Forward function, If your monitor's HD... you probably have cheaper options
Summary: Purchase through set-up: I purchased the Samsung HD850 at Best Buy to replace my aging and temperamental APEX AD-703 DVD changer. The 850 plugged right into my burgeoning home theater system with relative ease using an HDMI to DVI cable (not included) ... read more

Pros: Great price; HDMI connection; clean, modern design; optical and coaxial audio connections. Cons: Hi-Def conversion improvement only minimal.
Summary: I wasn't expecting perfect Hi-Def pictures from this DVD player, but I was at least expecting a measurable improvement over regular DVD players. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. PICTURE The Hi-Def conversion feature is only available through the ... read more

Pros: Just wanted to review it so more people can see how great it is! Cons: Kind regards,
Diana Maria.
Summary: This is probably the cheapest DVD player, but possibly the best :) it has pretty much everything a DVD needs to function the way you want it at home.

Pros: Small size player Cons: Does the same thing as many Big screen TV's, player is not needed
Summary: I have a JVC 61" DILA big screen with 720p resolution that looks incredible with HD broadcasts. I'm very picky about picture quality. After buying the Big screen TV and playing DVD's, I was disappointed in the quality of the picture with most DVD's,

Pros: Easy to use
Awesome picture
hdmi cable supplied! Cons: doesn't take the dvd's out of the case for me
Summary: Purchased the LG version (model had 414 in it) and was quickly disappointed with the very slow card reader. I figured it's a dvd player, so this would be a mute point. Picture quality was quite good however no hdmi cable is supplied (180.00 and no

Pros: The 16x9 aspect ratio was nice with my 16x9 TV Cons: Singnal upgrade not available with all inputs
Summary: Well, after a few weeks of no reviews anywhere online I figured $150 (Best Buy) was inexpensive enough to hope that the video quality would upgrade on my Panasonic PT-40LC12 (non DVI/HDMI inputs. S-Video and Composite only) After previewing several
