Pros: HD, widescreen, easy setup, TV Guide built in Cons: Built in TV Guide doesn't work
First off, I thought my husband was crazy when he told me how much this television he wanted was. I said "$2200 for a television, Have you lost your mind!" Then he took me over to his friends house and I saw the television in regular channels and then in ...
Pros: Nice picture quality, lots of input connections, PIP, slick design, lightweight equipment. Cons: Remote control lacks more features that can only be accessed using TV on-screen menu.
That TV is bigger and lighter than you think. When you place it in your living/family room it will fit nicely to your decor due to its slick design and frame's neutral colors (silver and black). So far the picture quality is superb however it isn't ...
Pros: HD broadcast are great
Lots of connection options
Great price from Amazon Cons: Remote is ok
TVGuide feature is a pain
Based on the ticket price for this item I really shopped around and read reviews comparing Samsung to Sony. The deciding factor was PIP and cost. Couple of key notes that I learned: A) Both pictures are comparable - it's personal preference B) TV is ...
Pros: Great picture and sound. Easy to setup and use. Cons: Too many breakdowns and poor customer service.
At first we were very impressed with the good picture quality and the ease of use of this model tv. We have owned it for ab

I was looking for a upgrade to my small home theater which included a 27" conventional tube tv. I was quite excited when my wife suggested we purchase a new set for the SuperBowl. Our choice was an open-box Samsung HLR5667W from Best Buy. We got a big discount on it, and they threw in some extras to take the item off their floor. However, to our dismay, when the tv arrived at our home it did not work. (I know..."You should know that would happen when you purchase an open box item"). But Best Buy was VERY helpful and exchange the tv for a brand new one, with no extra cost!!!
The tv is nice to look at and fits into our entertainment center quite nicely. The picture is a vast improvement over my old 27-incher! Gorgeous colors and contrast level, too! The sound is great and fills our room nicely, although a decent stereo system is a nice complement to it.
Menus, remote controls, and set up are very friendly and straight forward. The tv includes on-screen TV Guide capability - how it works is magic to me.
Pros: Great picture and sound when it works! Cons: Customer support for problems is the worst I have ever dealt with!!!!
Tv is great when its not having problems. Trying to deal with Samsung customer support is worse than dealing with a car dealership. Absolutely the worst customer service I have dealt with in 42 years. My tv starting having problems after about 5 months of ownership, been dealing with customer support for 4 weeks and my tv is in worst shape then it was when it started, after they had repaired it. I believe they try to put you off until your warranty runs out, they will lie or tell you whatever to get you off the phone. Recommend an extended warranty though the organization you purchase from to ensure your state of mind or buy a different brand!
Pros: Fantastic picture, great connectivity options Cons: Remote is too spartan
After several months of painstaking research, I finally decided on the HLR5667W. I have not regretted it! The first thing I noticed was an impressive array of connectivity options. If you have something you cannot hook up to this TV, you don't need it! The documentation provided with the TV was excellent and this helped greatly in getting it all connected with my surround sound system. The ultimate satisfaction came when I turned it on! The picture is outstanding! Local HDTV channels are tuned in crystal clear by the built in HDTV tuner. The fan in the TV does blow out alot of heat, Samsung recommends 4" of clearance behind the TV to get rid of this heat, but I went with 10" and don't regret it. This also makes connections easier. My only complaint so far is the remote - it is very limited. Much of what should be accessible from the remote must be selected through on-screen menus.
Pros: Clear picture, big screen, great sound, easy-to-use remote control. Cons: Only 1 HDMI input, internal TV clock doesn't keep good time.
I bought this TV about a year and a half ago, and have been very pleased, thus far. It has an excellent picture, great sound, and lots of a/v inputs.
It has 720p and 1080i resolution. I use it to watch my HD satellite, football, basketball, and boxing in HD are a completely different experience than regular. I also use my ps3 on this TV, its awesome.
About 3 or 4 months after I bought it the bulb blew up, but I called Samsung and they had someone out within the week to fix it. It has worked great ever since.
