  • Huge Quality HDTV for a not so 'Huge' price tag!

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community

Pros: Has HD Tuner, excellent picture quality, good sound, and just the right size for me.
Cons: Doesn't tilt down that much and takes a bit to turn on.

Summary: Last June, I was started looking for a TV for my bedroom. I wanted something that wasn't too big but was of good quality and had a high definition tuner built-in to it. Keeping this in mind, I shopped around for Sony, Panasonic and Samsung televisions ... read more

Pros: Pleasant to look at even when it's turned off, and chock full of features.
Cons: Full price seems rather high for what is really a 19" diagonal screen.

Summary: My experience using this product was a pleasant one, especially given the price I paid for it (249.99 after Black Friday price adjustment). It was an open box item, and the original price was $479.99 at Circuit City. I was able to talk them down on the ... read more

Pros: Great picture; Best sound for this size TV; Comes with hardware for wall mounting.
Cons: 19 inch TV is actually much smaller when watching non-wide screen broadcasts

Summary: Buying a small TV is tough because most review sites, such as Consumer Reports, don't rate anything smaller than a 32 inch television. (Note to review sites: Not all of us want to worship a television god in our living rooms.) I thus did my own ... read more

  • Samsung 19" HDTV: Big in Quality, Small in Size and Cost

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    May 14, 2007
Pros: built in HDTV tuner, picture quality, price, sound
Cons: small LCD screens require "straight in front" viewing

Summary: I recently went to Circuit City to purchase a new television. My initial plan was to purchase a 36"-40", non-high definition television. I didn't really see the point in an HDTV. My argument was that "normal" television was just fine, and an HDTV ... read more
