Pros: Outstanding picture quality, wide viewing angle, independent input settings, connections galore, fast response time Cons: HDMI ports can be troublesome, glossy screen prone to glare, remote control poorly designed.
The Samsung LNT4665F TV represents the new line of LCD TVs from Samsung for 2007. It features stunning picture quality with its 1080p maximim resolution, and a bevy of settings and connections to choose from. Samsung did a great job with this TV - ...
Pros: Great picture quality Cons: Sound is not even basic home theater quality
My review is my attempt to capture the key points on the Samsung 4665 HDTV, and how I went about selecting this product for purchase. I have organized my review by the following topics: Research: The best source for research is cnet.com, which does a ...
Pros: Great picture, when no junk. Cons: Lack of support and service.
The 'just scan' mode is noted in the manual as for use with HDMI and DVI inputs, which should yield the best picture. Since I'm using the HDMI input, I expect to use the 'just scan' mode. However, when in this mode (at least with Cablevision as the ...
After carefully shopping around for two months we decided on the Samsung Flat Screen LCD LNT4665F TV. The HD quality is outstanding and the sound is above average for such small speakers. The color and sharpness of the picture great. We visited 8 ...
I searched for a flat-screen tv for a couple of months, and finally chose the 4665. I chose the size of the TV based on my room, and decided 50 was too big and 42 too small. This left me without a decision on plasma vs lcd, which was ok with me. Plasma ...
Pros: 3 - hdmi 1.3 inputs, nice color range Cons: slow, limited usb software
I couldn't wait for lazer tv anymore. I find this hdtv one of the best for its function. After numerous hours of research it was decided that this hdtv would fit good on my wall (It was also a Christmas gift that I would not want to return). The 46" ...
Pros: Outstanding picture in both SD and HD modes. Cons: Troublesome, inadequate parts warranty, slow when changing inputs
The power supply failed intermittently after 11 months - Samsung kindly extended the warranty twice and the problem finally became solid. The power supply was replaced under warranty - that was 7 months ago. Today, the power supply failed again and when I called about the warranty on the parts, I was told the warranty was only 3 months. A new power supply would cost me $450. Clearly Samsung has had problems with the power supply in this particular model and you should avoid it at all costs. You can buy a new Samsung 46" TV for $999, so why would anyone put $450 into a power supply that might fail again in a few months.
Pros: Screen Clarity, Price, Size, Accepted Inputs for Home Theater Components, Computer Input, Digital Audio Out Cons: Speaker Sound Quality which is minimal for this TV
TV is great from the LG I was comparing to. At the time the price was a bit more than the LG but worth it with the high clarity screen. The speakers are a bit lacking but that can be made up with a surround sound system and/or tuning the treble and base on the TV. The deal I got through best buy with TV Surround Sound and stand made it worth buying this TV especially after the price matching took it well below the LG comparable model. This TV was also given high ratings by consumer reports at the time. When viewing the screen absorbs most of the surrounding light so there is minimal glare on the screen.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from samsung. by pk_8544 ,Jun 23 '09
Pros: Great picture, very nice looking television. Cons: Limited life-span. Get yourself an extended waranty.
After looking around I Purchased the samsung lnt-4665. Like many have reported since, my televison died two month out of waranty. The screen will go blank while the sound stays on. This is a common problem with the sunsung sets. I have a friend whose samsung dlp died exactly the same way. Customer service is also terrible,. if you ever to manage to get a hold of them. Do yourself a favor and stay away from samsung. They should be held accountable for the crap they are selling consumers.
Great TV while it lasts by samsungnomore ,Nov 24 '09
Pros: Nice TV while it lasts! I love the picture quality of Samsung tv's. Cons: Problem is IT WON'T LAST! I would go for one with a better refresh rate.
I purchased my LNT4665F Samsung in Sept. of 07, and was very happy to start with. After only 1 year I began to experience the same problem many others have, I turned the tv on and nothing but sound. While trying for almost a week to get Best Buy to set up an appointment (luckily I purchased the extended warranty), the tv began to work again. Almost a year later (football season '09), it began to fail again. A month later, after numerous calls and 1 attempt to replace the power supply, it is still not working! They have ORDERED a new display, which I was told may not even fix the problem. I am no expert, but this is obviously a widespread problem that should have been recalled a long time ago! I was a big supporter of Samsung up until now, but I WILL NEVER BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN!
