Samsung SC-D363 Mini DV Camcorder

Pros: The price, size and weight were great.
Cons: The focusing and performance was disgusting and features were not features but were agrivations.

I bought it at 1 PM on Wed. and will be returning it at store opening time Thurs. The low $161.00 + tax price knowing the it was not highly rated proved the saying you don't get what you thought you paid for. The auto focus was so far off and slow it was a joke and the amount of extra light required to operate inside was prohibitive. My first instincts to shoot the big bucks and get the proven SONY PRODUCTS were distracted via "low bid ". My dollar cost in time, patience and travel was lost for ever. Simple answer is buy good quality the first time; it is the cheapest way to go.

Cons: Not top of the line (but expected)

Just got this camcorder the other day. My wife really wanted it for the baby we are going to be having anytime. It is not a top of the line camcorder by any means. But it will do very nicely.

One of the featurs I like alot about it is that you can record video directly to the SD card in AVI format if you like.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Very Bad Camcorder NEVER BUY IT

I have the same problem. Squealing Noises from Tape compartment and then Error message saying Eject Tape.

Samsung said the labor Warranty was only good for 3 Months.

They want to make money off of the Bad Product.

NEVER Buy it.

I had the same problems someone else reported.  I bought this camera not even 2 years ago, thinking it was a good camera.  The parts and labor is only 3 months, well the problems started at about 6 months.  I kept getting a buzzing sound on the camera, that progressed to the eject with the "D" appearing on the screen. 
I contacted Samsung a number of times, who just told me I would need to get it fixed at a location 60 MILES FROM MY HOUSE, and it would cost $160.  Yeah, the camera was only a bit more than that!! 
Samsung was very unhelpful, because I got all that information from their site, the person I talked to just told me it sounded like it needed to be fixed, that was it...like 5 words for all my time I spent explaining the problem! 
I will NEVER buy from these guys again, the camera was junk and their repair/help services are a JOKE!  Please consider what you are buying before you do!

Got camera as a gift in 12/06. Used it sparingly.
Now, 8/08, Getting error message "Eject....(up arrow...D" message when attempting to use product as camcorder.
I should have known it was of poor quality when it has only a 90 warranty on labor and 1 yr on parts.
Just talked to service rep. Cost to repair ...$160.
Camera only cost $180.
Will not get it fixed.
Will buy another camcorder. You can bet it won't be a samsung !!!

My camcorder is 9 months old and broken. I have only used it for 15 minutes, and it has a high pitch squeling noise coming from the tape compartment. The screen flashes eject and Samsung is charging me $88.00 to get it fixed. Samsung quality and customer service definitely leaves somthing to be desired. I will never buy a samsung product ever again!

Pros: Nice 1200x digital zoom. Easy to use with many features.
Cons: Battery has to charge while on the camera.

This camera is the best I have ever owned. Very small with great digital zoom. Easy to transfer videos to DVD. Very easy to operate. Picture quality is very good. The only thing I don't like is the battery has to charge while attached to the camera.
